Title: Spending from an offline wallet
Post by: pollen_bit on November 29, 2015, 06:38:11 PM
Is it possible to spend out of an offline Electrum wallet? Is there a tutorial out there?
Sorry if this question has been asked before, but all I could find was a link to a tutorial the is not working (404).
Thanks

Yes it is possible.
  • You will need to setup a watch-only wallet that contains that address that you want to spend from.
  • Next you will generate an unsigned transaction with your watch-only wallet.
  • Copy the unsigned transaction and transfer it to your offline computer
  • Sign the transaction with the wallet contained in your offline computer
  • Transfer the now signed transaction back to your online computer and broadcast it to the network
