Title: Question about signature campaign payments!
Post by: coinhelper on November 29, 2015, 07:54:39 PM
Why don't signature campaigns pay for the number of people that view a topic! By doing this, they can pay higher for people that have more worthwild posts, such as threads that have more than 1000 views compared with threads that have 50 views, which would increase their advertising and the profits from their companies! Also making people most likely to post on discussions that involve more of the community too!

As far as i know the views are counted even from people what are unregistered in forum (from guests) so not worth as you say.

they should instead pay for how many will actually click on their ads, for example if for my ads, 10 people only click on it, they should pay me an amount equal to that, based on a new rate eventually

Sounds nice but again this is nothing different from Affiliate Marketing since we will get paid on referral/commission basis.Which would again need a different signature for every participant with their respective referral links and as far as I remember referral links are against the rules of this forum so just might not be a good idea.

signatures are advertising space, u get paid because u advertise a product on a advertising space ; as simple as that

they pay because the advertise them service on your post you have done,

as you said paid for view, will not be fair enough , some crawls spider make storm crawling ,
and it can be easy for anyone to make more view with some tricks to get money without real view

They are allowed in signatures.

Yes you already can use those affiliate links! I have used my own referal links in some signature campaigns.

As for the OP's question, I think that if there was a better way in doing these campaigns, it would definitely be done this way. Your suggestion has a great limitation and that's people that are viewing advertising as the guests!

I don't think it is good idea because people can get easily fraud clicks from cheap traffic. How you know these are real clicks or fake clicks? In this forum I don't think we can trace whether clicks are real or coming from outsiders (fake) so it may not be an good idea.

Even though it is allowed it will just create a mess. Unique signature for every user ?
The campaign manager cant hold everything..
And also you can can very less payment or even no payment for wearing the signature if no one clicks on your sig. link..
And by this some spammers will just use VPNs and click on their own sig. link and they will earn by clicking themselves.
So its not a good idea though !

Some campaigns used to be a commission only campaign. This means that commission will be paid if the clickers used the link and bought something. This is more effective than pay per post for the campaign management but worst for participants due to the unstable payout. People can also turn off the signature or block the paid signatures.

It is very hard to calculate how much of visitors watches the post or thread for campaign manager. And this forum doesn't count the people who views post of the poster. Checking the post and deducting the post that are useless which almost every campaign are doing right now is the most effective way.

seriously? this is weird lol, how they count the view?
if it for view topic, why signatures even exist?
signature campaign is for advertising space. you get paid by posting and showing the signatures to every member.
but not for viewing  :P

You can check views by looking at the server stats for an image, and clicks by looking at the referring url.

Good idea OP, but it isnt as easy as you make it sound, how would you compensate for banned users and how would you know who went on the page that your advertiser posted on? thread views shows views to the whole thread

This is the reason right here ^^.  You cannot fake a post; it's either there or it isn't.  And if it's a shitpost, people won't pay attention to it and so that's a reason to make quality posts.

Indeed, this wouldn't be the best idea. They wouldn't know how to get the fake ones out of the real clicks, a click is a click. It's too easy to cheat that.

Getting paid by views doesn't make any sense, anyone could just click on the topic and get more views to that. Again, that's easy to cheat with.

I don't understand how this would work. It would be way too easy to cheat this way. Same goes for the idea to click on signatures.
Post counts are the best way to go, if you got the right postcount + quality, you will be paid out, if it doesn't meet the requirements you don't get paid, simple as that.

This is not a fair way for paying out the rewards. The number of views can be easily faked. Any thread which has the highest number of views will tend to get more spams.
