Title: Automatically sweep arriving funds from one or more private keys?
Post by: SgtSpike on November 20, 2012, 10:48:22 PM
Assume I have a private key or collection of private keys, and I am afraid they have been compromised by a third party.  I am also expecting payments at an unknown time in the future to arrive to one or more of the private keys.

Is there any trustworthy software or website that automatically forwards any bitcoins received at one or more addresses to a new address, as soon as possible?  Perhaps even by increasing the fee a bit beyond the normal 0.0005 BTC to have a better chance at pushing through a transaction before someone else did?

I think mtgox does this for you when you sweep an address. Check it out.

So they'll do it for you if coins are received in the future, as well as coins sitting at the address at the time you submit it to them?

It must be possible.  I had redeemed some old bitbills by sweeping the private key to my blockchain.info wallet. I then much later tried to temporarily store some coin from my bitcoinspinner app on my android by sending to that private key while I rebooted my phone. Unfortunately, the coin was instantly swept out of that private key at my blockchain.info wallet to some unknown address, and I lost my coin! Another bitter lesson.

Yes, it seems to behave this way.

Your MtGox account probably got a small boost by the same amount.
