New and Innovative.  But how it is safe?

This isn't a new coin guys. It's a project takeover of Dub. Developer has abandoned the project. I decided to take it over and finish what he started.


As far as the steps stay safe wallet:

OK, sounds like a good thing, but I have the DUB wallet v1.2.0.0 installed and have a tough time getting it to sync. Is there a new one I am supposed to download?

The new wallet hasn't been released yet. I'm still working on it. You should have, at the least 2 connections. I'm not around my computer at the moment. Does it have the soundcloud integration? That is the most updated wallet.

Yup...soundcloud is in mine, so must be the latest. I have 3 nodes, as of last night, but also have a slew of staked orphans. Can't wait for a new wallet in hopes it takes care of the orphan problem.

It will have at the least 2 consistent steady nodes. The old wallet is pretty touchy on the orphans. When the hardcoded node went down, it screwed up everything. I know there were some small forks while setting up the block explorer.

I have a couple buy orders on yobit. Instead of adding a donation address, I'll buy them out right. I plan on doing some giveaways once the wallet is done. I know some of you got dub real cheap 45 sats is a fair price.

This is a 1,000,000 coin, or so? And only 40 sats!!!! STEPS involved. Their ICO went from 250 to 2000 and now still trading nicely above ICO price. The price is for sure 10 times too cheap.

I agree it is cheap right now. On the other hand, Steps is not involved. I thought it was a good idea to be included in the steps stay safe wallet. There are plenty to come.

Anyone have real 'working' nodes to sync the wallet. I have been bringing my wallet on-line for days but it never connects. I would love to see DUB back as a viable coin, but if you can't get your wallet to sync, there is no sense in staking. I've got a couple of different versions of the DUB wallet and am currently using the 'Sound Cloud' edition.

OK...did the addnode but now I get the runtime error (until I gave up after several attempts) crash. Maybe I will just wait for the new wallet. Glad to see DUB isn't dead tho. Let me know if you need a beta tester. I only have ~5k DUB, but it is enough to test with.

I'm appreciative to bring it back. The old wallet is flawed especially with the debug console always crashing. Take a look at the op, I included dubstep.conf information

I have been made aware of the ownership technicalities. I like to propose a swap. Since the developer abandoned the project. I would like to have full ownership of the project. 1000 DUB = 1 DUB2 will more than likely be the swap quote. More details will be posted in the next couple days.

When will DUBcred being launched?

Still trying to get this wallet to sync. The best I get is one node and it is hit-or-miss. Not constant. Really need a new Windows wallet. I have revamped this .conf file everyway possible, etc., trying to get it synced. Are you going to release a working DUB wallet before making the swap to DUB2?

I have a solid active connection. I'm not sure what's going wrong. I would definitely empty out everything in your dubstep roaming folder besides your wallet.dat and dubstep.conf. The wallet version should be: v1.2.0.0: NextGen.

how will swap be done

I'm getting the daemon wallet ready for the swap, block explorer and node update. I also, am waiting on response from Yobit. I will keep everyone updated, as these change.

Would be nice to rename it too. And not just name it DUB2.

I can tell you the swap is happening. I have yet to hear from yobit. That would be the most ideal choice. There is not a date set yet. Don't worry it will happen.

I don't see how you can use YoBit for the swap when even that wallet is in maint. mode trying to sync. This is going to cause some major issues.

I like much smaller total supply.  Create value for the coin and let it be a very high value coin.  No issues there.  If you make a need for the coin, it will trade at any price.

The Yobit Dub wallet is out of maintenance mode. The DUB blockchain was designed to support smaller transactions. Please keep transactions under 100,000 otherwise you will be waiting awhile for your funds.

Now given the swap details. It's delayed the music creation wallet. I plan to have that exclusive wallet finished by March 11th. That exact date was chosen to give myself some time with the debugging. I defintely do not want a memory loaded wallet, as in the last wallet released with Dubstep.It will then be, of course, up for criticism and improvements.


I will be releasing the initial release wallet, during the coin-swap. All github information, announcements, updates will be posted on this forum.


The website is definitely a priority as well. I plan on using TekyBoy for that, so I can focus more on DUBNX.

Yobit will list DUBNX in any case... but it needs to be done on Yobit, i think that is the best way. In fact it should be done as soon as possible... people already had time enough to move their coins. We need to know the real value of DUBNX to move forward. I have some talks with a few people that can increase the price here.

As i heard, they don't accept third parties swaps. Now too much pure scams there.

If Yobit doesn't do the swap on their exchange, then we need to do something like that. In fact they can add DUBNX and just leave DUB on the market, and give peopel the right amount of DUBNX coins.

Yobit customer service is terrible. We have connections there shouldn't be this much maintenance.

In fact, DUBNX will have less coins and will be worth a lot more then what is DUB worth now, and DUB will also have a lot less coins as some coins will be burned, so DUB can also increase in price even when there is a DUBNX. Look at FLY/ROS.

Why are people still dumping their coins?

Not complaining here, as they dump on me. :D DUB is a 10 BTC coin with all coins on the market. If 30% of the people will swap, then you have a DUB coin worth of 7 BTC (max) and DUBNX worth 3 BTC.... 3 BTC is like ridicules, DUBNX can move up 1000% with a good roadmap etc. and DUB itself can also move up another 300% or so.

Probably I will hold the DUB in escrow on yobit, verification probably through bitcointalk username when a yobit code is given or through identification of the sender through a certain amount of dub-satoshies in the transaction.

lentzaj will then spread the DUBNX.

Yes both DUB and unswapped DUBNX coins will be destroyed.

To make it pretty clear to everybody:


2 options:

1. You swap your DUB coins for DUBNX. Those DUB coins will be destroyed.  DUBNX premine is 7000, correct? so if less then 7,000,000 is being swapped then we will have a few DUBNX coins being destroyed as well.

2. you don't swap your DUB coins for DUBNX. Those DUB coins will still be trading on Yobit as it is now currently being traded.

So investors has two options, either join the project or continue with DUB.

Another important point;

1. Swap date?
2. Roadmap?
3. Team structure?

DUB future development is dead. DEV abandonded the project. If Yobit was responsive, we could have done a clean swap so DUB does not exist on any market.

My coins are in yobit how will swap go

Take a look at the Original posting Bigs. The dub chain is sensitive. We are utilizing yobit codes that have sebastian's bitcointalk userid number.

I'm confused here...

In the post it is saying '5xeyEqFEZ1hmFKo9cUQfV288AGvMESRRDj', but we need to us yobit codes. yobit codes are generated with a random number, so how will those yobit codes arrive at the escrow person?

Yobit codes will be sent to me via private message. I then can know for sure who has the right to give me the DUBNX-Address that belongs to that transaction.

The DUB-Address can be used too, thought Yobit codes are better since the DUB wallet seems to be not so reliable. Signatures are not working with the DUB-Wallet is seems because it crashes then. So the scheme for sending via a normal transaction would be to add a certain number of satoshies to each investment. In fact the last 4 numbers of the senders bitcointalk.org user account. Then the user who sent this transaction sends me a pm and I can check the last 4 digits in the transaction value, then check the username of the person claiming he sent it. When it matches then it is very sure that he sent that transaction.

Though that will be explained in detail later.

Given the unreliable chain and consistent yobit wallet maintenance. I have decided to cancel the swap. I definitely apologize for any inconveniences. For those holding DUB, I am very sorry. 
On a more positive note,

Dubnx will continue development as an outside entity, with its focus away from the original DUB.  The developer abandoned the project. I, on the other hand, will not.

I expect to lose some of you after the swap cancellation, which I understand. I myself am still holding DUB (since the ico) and I would recommend getting something in return for current market prices. We unfortunately, fell victim to developer abandonment.
Dub was not my project. Dubnx is my project and will will be sold on the market. No ico, and at a fair price. For those still interested the initial wallet will be released next week.

It is not really logic, saying DEV move away from the project, but wait, we have a dev for DUBNX :D then this dev could just do DUB swap too :D

If DUBNX is not a ICO then it will be pure mining, and that would mean that the price will be pretty high in the beginning and then dumped to almost zero like all those minable coins.

It seems rather risky to swap another person's coin. I've done my research, on coin swaps. fly to fly2, limx to bitsend, droidz to v2 and v3 (pending evaluation). Majority of these coin-swaps were conducted by original dev's of the coin.

As the owner and developer of Dubnextstep, it doesn't make sense to pre-mine coins for the swap and transfer over ownership right away.
Especially since i will be putting in the effort for this project. These future projects will require a lot of time, and I am more than happy to spend it. I want to seem as transparent as possible, and provide a more credible crypto-coin. It just does not seem to make business sense for the swap.

 The Dub developer has been inactive since April 2015. Anyone could have stepped up by then.

With that said I am open to suggestions. How can we resolve to satisfy both parties?

Bigs, I have no aspirations of making money off of people, nor have I made any. It was intended to be a clean break from Dub. I should NOT have introduced the coin-swap initially, and that was my mistake.

The wallet was working on Yobit for some time... but look, i won't comment on anything. I know that DEVs will spend a lot of time on their coin.  Only i don't see how DUBNX or what DUBNX will become? It is inot a ICO coin, so it will be pure mining, and then you are stuck with all those big mining farms that mine for free and dump on you. So for marketing i assume that you will profit a lot more with the swap, even if you only have 10% of all coins then run DUBNX without a swap or ICO....

IF you would say, i will make DUBNX a ICO coin then maybe you can earn some money, but even then ICO coins aren't generating a lot of money.

As i said based on marketing a swap will give you bigger returns then whatever you would try to do with DUBNX. You will never have a decent % of the coin when DUBNX is a minable coin, if you are lucky and have A LOT OF FREE HASH then maybe max 1% as the chinesse mining farms will mine everything.

Honestly: If someone say he will swap it, then he should do it.

Personally: it doesn't make sense to say, we don't have a dev for DUB, but we have one for DUBNX...


Third: i see it as a buying opportunity too... Not because Lentzaj is not swapping that nobody else will swap it. I remember XRA... was worth nothing, $0.0 till Prestab took over the project and it was worth $300k. Not saying that this will happen, but i don't mind to give a bounty to the person that would take over DUB. I know DEVs aren't working for free, they should not work for free, so if there is another person that will swap it then they can always come to me for their bounty. In fact i also offer Lentzaj a nice bounty for the DUBNX swap, as onces again, i don't think people need to work for free.

Guys, please come up with a decision on this before we remove the wallet.  DUB has been dead for months over here and we have kept the wallet running for a while so this swap could be completed.  However, lentzaj is correct.  The chain and network are completely unstable.  Yobit's wallet hasn't been functioning at all either.

Once we remove the wallet here, we will not resurrect it if someone takes it over months down the road.  It isn't practical.  As of right now, we can't even process withdrawals we have in the queue because the blockchain is stuck.  We'd like to help out where we can but at some point, the wallet will just be removed.

Isn't the chain not just stuck because of POS blocks not being generated? Remember we also had the same problem with ROS and then we created all small blocks and POS blocks are being generated and everything start working again. Is that not something that can be consider? I think DUB has the same problem as so many POS coins, people put their coins on the exchange and nobody create any POS blocks ,so chain is (broken) not working.

I'm going to create daemon wallet with funds and put it on my vps. It is a block creation problem. There are a couple forks, but they are very small ones. We appreciate your patience on this.

that you send the new DUBNX coins to Bittrex and they just swap it directly on the exchange, the same for Yobit, and trade DUBNX on yobit and Bittrex.

I apologize for not doing this sooner.

I have 3 different wallets ready for staking. 1 already has funds, the other 2 are awaiting the confirmations.

The chain should be better once all the wallets are fully staking.

I would suggest start with the swap as soon as possible, wallet is now active on Yobit, do the swap, and lets move on.

good to see movement im ready i just hope to many did not bail when swap did not happen many in troll box called it a scam i held what i have not many. i was hoping placebo would send me a few lol but i know the new dev is working hard at progress so i do no see a scam here the ones who dumped may regret it and placebo you can send a few dub to me lol

Too many politics going on here. I've listened to both parties. I'm making an executive decision to cut ties with the swap. This is a project I, myself, am developing. I will potentially recruit help once business is good.

For all those frustrated with this decision, I apologize. If you stay committed, I promise you will not be let down.

If someone knows a dev that want to take over DUB and run it professional and don't jump from Yes/No/Maybe, then you can let him contact me. I will give him a nice stake of the number of coins that i own, and if that person works hard then that stake will be worth a lot more then what people are getting with ICOs lately (as that market is dead).

I will also check with Vegasguy as he did XDE2 and FLY lately and both swaps were a success for the investors.
