For me, I will surely vote for Satoshi Nakamoto (The inventor). Because seriously dude, Bitcoin comes from his brain.
And, maybe I will vote for theymos too if I can vote for more than 1 person. ;)

I voted for Mawo. A very professional developer and a very friendly person of Horizon Foundation which is working to develop the Horizon project and care about the blockchain and their crypto. I think that few people know this crypto and its blockchain. But it is a very interesting and specific one. To verify this it can be enough to tell that this blockchain is the witness and the corroborative of the first digital marriage in the world. You can find more doing e simple search in internet or reading the Bloomberg article about this, even following this link:http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-12-01/i-attended-the-first-official-digital-wedding (http://www.bloombergview.com/articles/2015-12-01/i-attended-the-first-official-digital-wedding)

As for Mawo I think that only very few know it. Well, for me he is a person who deserve more visibility and attention. This is the main reason of my vote for him.

But anyone can ask who vote someone not connected with bitcoin but with Horizon. Because Horizon (hz) is (will be known one day as) Bitcoin 2.0. Who want to know more about this "strange" and "bombastic" declaration I am giving below the official thread of this crypto and its team. Everyone may know more things there. Maybe there are not to much written things but who work have not time to speak or write (for the moment I belong to the speakers and the writers; hope to be someday at the other part ;) ) : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=823785.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=823785.0)

I guess the Winkelvos twins will get some votes for entering Bitcoin {Gemini} into the Stock exchange. It has not made a huge impact, but it was a bold move and it gave Bitcoin some more legitamacy in the

corporate world. We kind of expected a lot more from Gemini, but it managed to put the foot in the door for people who wants to invest in the currency. I guess it will take some time for the corporate giants to

make up their minds. Atleast when this happens the doors will be open and they would be protected from another MtGox.

Mike Hearn is the man for me this year. He brought up the discussion about block size and released a solution that he believes to be the correct one. It wasn't just talk, he really wants to improve and change Bitcoin in a way he believes to be correct and future proof and he is pushing his philosophy ahead. It doesn't matter if his change is pushed through/is accepted... What matters is that he showed that there are people caring about Bitcoin. This is the kind of people we need.

Hearn and Andresen are the most popular this year but not the man of the year as there proposal are being on debate. To become the man of the year, one must really contribute and develop a success proposal. Anyways about influential, I see no people who will fit that but rather most popular person this year.

It's great to contribute and make a goal happen, but starting a discussion on a topic that was a bit disregarded so far is quite important too, in my opinion. It's good to see all these developments around Bitcoin and services supporting it, but that's not thinking in the future sustainability of the network itself, it's more of a short term goal. Devs are discussing the currency's future and all those services being developed depend on this :)
