Title: [SOLVED] Machine/Bitcoin client crashed, database broken, Bitcoin address gone Post by: Bionic on June 06, 2011, 09:11:09 PM My machine crashed, the Bitcoin client database is broken, and after reinstalling the client (saved wallet before!) the old bitcoin address is gone.
That's bad since some pay-per-share mining pool owed me some fractions of a bitcoin to that address. Is there a way to make the client use the old address again, or are some fractions of a bitcoin now lost forever due to database crash? Are you referring to "your address" displayed at the top of the client interface? That's just the most recent address generated, you can have as many as you like. There's a menu that lists all the addresses in your wallet.dat.
