Title: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: CrazyGuy on November 24, 2012, 03:17:09 AM Large quantities of healthy breastmilk available. Unfortunately, my newborn son has extreme food allergies, forcing us to put him on a prescription amino acid formula. Our hope is that he will outgrow his allergies and be able to return to breastmilk in a few months. In the meantime, my wife is pumping and we have a bit of an overflow in our freezer.
I would prefer to sell to someone who will be feeding to their child, but if you are buying to make icecream, I won't judge you. Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: odolvlobo on November 24, 2012, 03:21:35 AM Is there an option to take delivery in person?

I know there are(or were) some Facebook groups created for this purpose. Read an article about it, saying the Health inspection was giving them problems. Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: MPOE-PR on November 24, 2012, 03:32:17 PM Hahaha where is this located?

Yep, now if only there were more mothers using bitcoin... My wife still doesn't understand how I've been making money with my graphics cards over the past year. Help me prove to her that bitcoin is a viable currency by purchasing her surplus breast milk!Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: odolvlobo on November 24, 2012, 10:59:23 PM Where are you located?

My wife produced double what my son could eat and I tried to sell the excess. Couldnt get any serious buyers despite having several hundred ounces in in the deep-freeze. He's offered me 10 BTC to donate 100+ oz to a local charity and I think I'm going to take him up on it. I really appreciate that offer and I want to thank him for being so generous. Neocate is expensive! Also, I checked out onlythebreast.com and I have to say, some of those women are much better at marketing this stuff than me. If I had titled the post "I want to share my wife's rich, creamy breast milk with you", I wonder if I would have gotten more offers? Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: 420 on November 26, 2012, 09:23:56 AM Any way to confirm the charity's receipt of your wife's beloved milk?

Make and market the cheese yourself, so the weirdos can spend more time being weird, and less time learning how to make cheese. Not only can you charge an extra markup for added time and labor, but you also appeal to another niche market. With the addition here is your target audience. 1. Babies 2. Creepy people that want breast milk 3. More creepy people that want breast milk cheese Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: LiteBit on November 26, 2012, 06:47:20 PM I'll just put this here:

Alton Brown tried making ice cream and cheese with human milk but found that the fat content was too low for it to work. Interesting idea, but kind of freaks me out just the same. Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: kibblesnbits on January 01, 2013, 12:08:18 AM I've seen first-hand the Marquis DeSade operation for pumping breast milk. You're not asking enough, your wife should get a Lexus out of the deal :)
Positive thoughts for your son, he'll get on the track I'm sure. Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: farlack on January 01, 2013, 05:32:23 AM There was a restaurant selling breast milk ice cream, pretty sure they were doing well, but the health officials stopped it for health reasons, you don't know what the woman has..
Title: Re: [WTT] Breastmilk for Bitcoins - .13 BTC per ounce Post by: Darktongue on January 01, 2013, 09:00:57 PM This isn't insane... actually I'm not suprised this os actually being done. I joked with my wife about continueing to pump after our infant weens off. the demand for this is actually high in our area. They have milk banks here though our local hospital and cannot keep with the demand.
For some mothers this is priceless. So many reasons exist that a mother would be unable to use her own milk. but want to feed an infant breastmilk rather then the alternatives. I hope the seller is able to help those that really need this service rather then.sell to those with a feddish for it. |
