Title: BTC stoneware mug #004 from ART project
Post by: EskimoBob on November 24, 2012, 06:00:26 PM
Here is one more mug. (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=102010.msg1354912#msg1354912 )
This one is a bit different. It has a rough surface texture and has some cool "rusty" spots on the handle. It feels nice in the hand. The weight of this stoneware mug is 515 grams of high fired clay and glaze. Only one exemplar exists.

This one is also available for 5 BTC (+S&H). This includes 100 virtual ART tokens (0,05 BTC a pop) - see the link posted above
PM me for details and lets find this rough stoneware mug a happy owner.

Shipping to USA is about 8 EUR.

I forgot to mention, that all the proceeds are used to buy equipment for the new art studio.
If we are going to list in OT, P2P etc "exchange", mug owners will get 5 BTC worth of "shares" (I prefer calling them tokens).
If you like to make an order for multiple mugs that are with similar shape and design, please let me know.
BTW, we can also write a BTC address on a cup. It will be under the glaze and "cut" in to the clay so it will stay around for thousands of years... unless your mug gets nuked or is zapped with a stone melting ray gun from orbit.

that's pretty cool but 5 BTC!?!?!  That's outrageous and I'm not comparing this with Target.  There are lots of potters around where I live.

Juts for a mug? Yes, you are correct. Look at it as you participate in crowd funding a project where you actually receive something useful for your donation. Something that can be used use for tens of years (hundreds, if you do not drop it ;)
All the collected coin is used for finance the "ART" project I am trying to get off the ground.
I do not want just ask for coin. I rather give something useful back right now. If I sold those mugs it at cost + some, I can never ever get this going :)

When we get this project up and running and list it on one of the exchanges, I will trade those tokens to actual shares worth 0,05 BTC.

So, this offer is now finished.

We will be more than happy to make more BTC theme mugs and because there is no shares attached, the price will be in 2 BTC range. Please contact me and lets talk details. Maybe you like to order multiple mugs and you like to add some specific personal detail to all of them. Remember, we do stoneware. What ever gets written on the mug, is written in stone :)
We are more than happy to work with you on details but at the same time, we also like to keep the artistic freedom.
If you any specifics in mind, let me know and lets get this ball of clay spinning.

Just and idea: Maybe you like to get a narrow neck vase like vessel? You can dump your wallets secret key on a piece of paper, delete wallet, roll the paper and drop it in to the vessel. The paper will unroll inside the vase and the only way to get it out, is brake your vase. We can also write a key on a piece of clay that will not fit trough the neck opening and will be inside the vessel for good....  and so on and on.
Let us know, what you like and lets go from there.

----  At the same time, in other news ------
Good news! We decided to list ART on the litecoinglobal.com, under the name "ART" https://www.litecoinglobal.com/security/ART

Please, lets not mix those 2 topics here. I like to ask you to post all ART listing related questions to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130947.msg1401421
Please check out our LTC issue at https://www.litecoinglobal.com/security/ART .
If you prefer BTC, I'll find someone with "pass trough" experience and we will set one up for you.

Cheers!
