Hi Guys, I am going to be using this new account from now on (I will prob login using the other account to manage the OP).

If I prep the new wallet with logos can someone do me a successful windows, linux, mac and raspberry pi compile? I can then get the new website done for Aprilcoin.

No idea. Not sure it matters at the moment anyway, we need to get the new wallets compiled, if anyone can help that would be good. I can get the wallet aesthetics updated.

Since changing to Aprilcoin XAP the Twitter page has picked up over 50 followers, currently at 972 which is pretty impressive, definitely the way to go.

Analcoin History

As we all know Analcoin was created by an anon developer who no longer maintained the coin after the pos failed, and a few of us paid for this to be fixed to serve its userbase and rebranded to a more commercially aware brand. Interest in the coin seemed to peak when twitter followers hit 900.

Rename & Rebrand To Aprilcoin

With a distinct lack of room in the adult crypto scene I proposed to rename and rebrand to Aprilcoin XAP, which would make the coin much more commercially friendly, this has been accepted as a good idea.

Confirmation

Please can everybody let me know if this is something everyone is happy with, I have updated the core code with aprilcoin XAP information, all the other specifics are the same, so no fork should be required.

Compile

The new source is name and image ready, can anyone compile and test the wallets using the updated core source please. Once tested it can be rolled out to exchanges.

Any advice would be great - if anyone has prebuilt dependencies they can zip up and the code to compile for windows I am happy to download and compile myself.

Any other advice or help would be appreciated - for example should we form a distributed foundation responsible for the coin, or just leave as an open chain?

I have tried to synchronized my wallet but without success. Is there a good list with working nodes?

We've been talking about offering a coin swap for XAP Aprilcoin, and the month of April would be the perfect time to relaunch and get some attention.

A swap for BARR would be voluntary, only for holders who want to participate.
Anyone who burns their APRIL will receive BARR, and any remaining APRIL can continue with a reduced supply.

Any chance of getting that APRIL wallet by April?

I've updated the source but it needs compiled and tested. Might need some additional work but;

- updated the coin type from ANAL to XAP
- updated the logo from Anal to April
- amended all references to Analcoin to Aprilcoin

I presume that we can continue on the existing blockchain without any issues, after all its purely the coin TAG and wallet GUI that's updated, the genesis block and chain remain unchanged, as long as all the nodes move to the new wallet everything should be OK?

It's not published on Git as yet, although might be able to upload in a while (been so long I need to find the updated source).

Twitter has over 1,000 followers, so Aprilcoin might have a good future, I am kind of busy doing other things but by all means if anyone wants to take it on and advance what the community has already done that would be cool.

I've tried to compile this walllet  on linux but it keeps coming up as error, something to do with the database!
I did successfully compile Analcoin on Linux though

I'm very slowly updating this wallet, I'm not a DEV but only just learning, but i have managed to change a few things.
I was thinking that this coin would be better as a type of voting coin for people to upload videos of their talent and coin owners could vote using their coins, The biggest pot wins, a bit like X-Factor i guess. Youtube would be a good place to promote this coin for example!

I Suggest that we rename AnalCoin/ AprilCoin to TubeCoin, what do you think?

I'm working on sites and a Linux script, lots of things to change so it's going to take awhile, new Tubecoin thread will have to be done and changing the exchange over at yobit, i'll contact them later.

Windows users:- Don't try running the old and new wallet together, you'll just need to transfer your wallet dat file over to tubecoin!
no need for Tubecoin.conf  but you can if you like.
