Pre-mined coins are not a bad thing.  They generally mean that the dev will try much harder in the beginning to make the coin work.  Do not forget how easy it is to take a coin over.  Just like corporate takeover, you simply need to snatch up those coins.  Soooo, if you think that these coins are an issue, take them over and make the changes you need to make it happen.

Nice presentation. I would choose a different algorithm. Script is not recommendable, too cost and energy intensive. And you need a Linux wallet.

I'm a mining newbie and the Yocoin was my first attempt at mining.   

On the very few exchanges it's listed on, it mainly appears to have sell requests with prices that vary between 0.00000300 (BTCPool)  and 0.00140000 (EmpoEX) ?    The only two buyers are offering 0.00000020 and 0.00000002 which seems very low to me (or is this normal?).   Is it worth hanging onto, or would I be better dumping and moving onto a different coin?

Any advise appreciated.

I don't know what a good price is. But at this moment YOC is on number 1 to be listed at the exchange C-CEX. Every week or so they add a new coin. So maybe next week YOC will be added there.
I think there will be more YOC be handled there.
It was (and still is so) so with DEUR and a few others.

why you are misguiding everyone here, do you know which is your official fork? your seed node or the above you are telling everyone to use in conf files? just tell us here which one is your seed node? and i guess we all know optimum usage of connect or addnode. i will not spend a single minute on this mess unless you'll clarify or come up with the solution.

what miners did quit mining or there is something else wrong again. approx 19hrs no new block and throughout the period difficulty pretty much stalled at 327.xxxx while you guys did increase or decrease hashrate from xx MHs to 1GHs!!!! point to ponder

Hi kevin, there's nothing wrong with the new fork, when the difficulty was around 20-80 lot of miners joined, but during the night, two users rush it with  10 ghs total, they drove the difficulty to 327.
That's why most of the miners have left.

The difficulty changes every 2016 block, the next will be around 10-12, but before we can get it, we need to mine another 865 blocks. That's why the price is going down a bit, cause little miners sold all their coins.

Hello guys, sorry for this long delay. I'm waiting some payments for some background works about yocoin project from master devs. That's why no more news comes since last 2 weeks.

Can anyone give me some factual insight on this.

I am aware it is scrypt mining and also aware you can use such sites like mining rig rentals to do so.

But found out using such cloud ☁ mining for this coin is not profitable.

The best course is to mine 24hrs a day on your own rig.
Any ideas how to setup or possibly find another coin that is parallel to use as an example.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you can recover and continue development of this coin.

This is a good lesson to everyone, really. No matter how much you have in your wallet you should definitely have 2FA activated. Even 2FA doesn't guarantee protection, you should never keep 460 BTC on an exchange.

As stated above, They are going to fix the seed nodes which you are requesting to change. They are working for it, these problems are normal especially they are just starting their projects. The main problem is that people lost and loosing a lot of money on mining. Yesterday hash speed felt down to 19 GH/s and that was just 2 pools mining and after we received 110 confirmations someone changed all that blocks, most of them were almost confirmed at c-cex, had more than 100 confirmations, so there were not other hashes except from this 2 pools, so how the heck is that possible !?!

We dropped it cause all the blocks we've been finding turned to orphans for 3-4 days. Waste of hash

Nice try Jacko, always the same old story of "dev account was hacked" , but the real question is How the hacker managed to withdraw btc and yoc without access to dev email account to valid withdraw confirmation link.

The developers control the seed nodes, and the seed nodes are responsible for the orphans.  In other words, the developers are likely mining the coin and have rigged the seed nodes to make sure that their blocks are preferentially confirmed.  Then, they are selling the blocks on C-CEX and calling it "hacking",  If these seed nodes were so flawed, they would be orphaning blocks since the coin's inception, not when the price suddenly rose.  I don't expect any fix to come out, since the developers are making a killing so long as the price stays high enough to justify renting hashrate to dominate the network.

All Yocoin holders / miners / community members and service providers are requested to make sure that their wallets are connected with official fork.

Members who are having issues with the unconfirmed transactions are requested to delete their blockchain or backup all files and resync their wallets with correct configuration. (process explained below)

Please note, it is user responsibility to backup their data files Yocoin team will not be responsible for any loss which you might face due to any improperly taken backup or deleted data files.

Step 4: After saving above file open/start your wallets and wait it to sync with network.

By now the dev is getting all the blocks because he made some glitch with the seed nodes

As we know the IRC of the wallet is working well and everyone got more than 20 active connections, so the dev can easy turn off the buggy seednodes, but he is not going to do that as he get every block.

If i'm wrong how the hell every pool got only orphans, even the official?
I'm mining on solo (with the wallet which shows 11 ?FALSE? positive on virus scan) and guess what - ONLY ORPHANS
After i hit a block it shows in both block explorers! Few minutes after that the coins became orphan in my wallet, but they stay in the block explorer.

Please check the txid on the block explorer! They are there! With the same addresses!

Which pools are active & they are connected to exchanges?

all blocks are being orphaned and stolen - there's no use in mining.

i was a first miner and  didnt see the swap .
so i was late now i see they had million  yocoin  that is stolen en lots of btc.
for me it was only 699 yocoin that needed too be swap .
and a few also contacted me if i got my coins .
and they had more .
and now i see they had a million.
so the few that asked  had easily could get it .
glad that i sold the one that i had empeox.
how can a dev.  not  really work on a fix .
or be more active too explain.
it almost look like paycoin.

In my Phone node 81.133..... is Mark Blue maybe this is infected.

Most likely all the pool's blocks and transactions got orphaned by the developers, so in the end you earned no money.  They've been orphaning hundreds of blocks at a time, so you can see hours of transactions and blocks randomly disappear and there isn't anything you can do about it.

But block chains is moving and 2 exchanges are connected to this blockchain.

the only way to correct this is to create a list of trusted nodes.

Not a Chance, I decided to try move my small mining farm of 2gh over to yo coin. I mined a bunch of blocks, out of 100 blocks I got 1. Really pissed off.
