Title: 1 Yr Anniversary
Post by: LiteBit on November 28, 2012, 02:48:06 AM
Just realized this is my 1 year anniversary on Bitcointalk!
It's been a fun ride so far.
Looking forward to the upcoming roller coaster of emotions with the final days of 2012 and the whole new year of 2013.

It will be more of an accomplishment when your "Total time logged in" equals one year.  :)

I've been here for about 18 months and I only have 18 days logged in.

Congrats man, I've just recently joined, but I believe I'll be here much longer.

Yeah it's funny looking at those ratios.  I've been logged in for only 4 days.  And I think at least 3 of those have been a waste of time vs anything productive or life altering.

haha congrats! how much would you say had changed in the btc world? :P

The past year I've been involved I've seen the following:

- Price has tripled. -> $4-$12
- Major hacks have caused large btc businesses to shut down -> making MyBitcoin hack seem small time -> bringing bad press to Bitcoin (which in turn is always good press)
- Major scams by trusted "Donors" and others have rocked the community -> taking loads of coins with them
- Romney & Bitcoin have been used in the same articles across the world during his US Election run
- dreams of new hardware (ASICs supplanting GPUs) for miners has been more like nightmares as delivery times lapse
- As of later today... BTC block reward goes from 50 coins to 25 coins.

I'm sure there are others, but these first came to mind.  :)
