holy crap, this is great to see. And the huge rise comes right after I actually bought some Bitcoin. Usually when I buy it, the price tanks. Somehow I never manage to make any money, but that's the story of my life.  Sweet!

not sure if this was panic buying. it is a peak probably caused by a single entity. it was a very welcome green candle. i hope when i wake up the price won't dive back to below $400 again. i am happy as long as it stays above $400.

the bubble just took a break and is now beginning again...

It looks like just a bubble becoming bigger and bigger again. As per my knowledge there is no solid reason for bitcoins to increase prices so fast from all the way 250 level to 400+. Anyway I made some good profits already and booked some profits and looking to buy again at some good price. Not sure how long this high price will survive. Anyone know the real reason for this price rise?

There's no explanation as usual, definitely some manipulators or whales doing the pump or maybe China at this hour, not sure. There's not a single event that we can pinpoint at the moment.

The explanation is an extremely small market where relatively small trades by slightly more wealthy people can move the entire 'economy' of the currency in a blink of an eye.

the bubble just took a break and is now beginning again...

not a break for nothing it was for accumulation, every dump it's done for that purpose, now they are reloading again for a new wave and a new dump

but th ething is that we are progressing nicely between one pump&dump, the average value is increasing

IMHO people should be scared to miss out! This is a truly breakthrough technology with a great potential and whoever doesn't have even a small stake in Bitcoin at the moment risks to miss out a big time.

I guess people are just getting aware of this. Also we have needed badly this recovery. All the positive news and development has to start paying off eventually!

People have had enough chances to buy their coins at around $220. You remember how long the price didn't move when it was around that level? They also had a lot chances to buy at just over $300. If people still haven't bought, then they surely are going to do it when it rises to $600. That's what happens with these kind of people. They will buy at some point, but at a way higher price.

No explanation? Did you see news about "Bitcoin Creator" Craig Wright? I think this news which made bitcoin price increased.
As usual, there's pump & dump. Sell now & buy again when dump happened ::)

Is this the reason why the price increased? Now I can barely see sellers on the forum and everyone only wants to buy bitcoins which I feel is the reason for the pump.

We're in a bullish cycle, it's normal that it's going up. There was a small break for a few weeks, after the test pump to $500.
We'll see $2000 in 2016, I believe.

Lol I think a lot of people will lose a lot of money. This high price evolvement can't be sustained. See what happened the previous hype.
Don't fall for this pump.

No but in all seriousness seems like big resistance whale was slaughtered and we are on steady deserved rise once again. And yes. I will buy more.

Don't get too excited mate.
Let's see first how high we will climb and how big the sell-off will be after that.
I hope $400 will hold. That would be really awesome and a nice finish for this year. :)

No panick buying for me this time. Did it in the first days of november and got into the red numbers within 48 hours, luckily I could 'repair' the damage with some trading and paid work. If this is another short spike, then I've made the correct decision. If this is really the rocket to the Moon, well ... too bad then ... !

'these kind of people' you refer to are I think are small in number. I think they may only number 10,000 -20,000 and on average own less than say 30  bitcoins.
they buy a few more bitcoins when their overall financial position improves a little as they need to alwys be in a psotion so that can afford to "lose' them if it all turns sour. They believe in bitcoin but know there is alot ahead for it  - and yes they may buy back in at say $500 if they see it may be $700 soon. That to them is a better prospect than buying at $250-$300 when the price is static as static is not what they expect from bitcoin.

But overall "these kind of people' are not significant players individually or collectively so they do not move the price - bots do that.

I am not panic buying either. I have bought my coins way before the first rally started. I can just sit back and enjoy the price go up and up. I will start securing some profits once we reach at least $500-$600. Not before.

Haha yes, i am also enjoying watching the bitcoin price right now and its pretty satisfying to see its kinda strong right now @ ~420. I am also with you waiting for atleast 500 to secure a decent profit but right now let's just enjoy the "show" :D

Nice to see an upward trend and maybe another big jump when Christmas shopping starts. I expect a big jump 10 days at least before Christmas as Bitcoin users will start piling up their stack of coins and enjoy the discounts given by different sites before Christmas.

While all are buying i am going to sell half of my coin at current price and will buy back when it will be around 400. I think it will go down to touch 400 again.

Lol.  If I knew how to, I'd make one of those Batman slapping Robin memes out of ^^ and post it here.  It's definitely nice to see the price increase though.  The part of me that's a closet gambler loves it.

Panic buy is a strong word, but I would say by breaking the $400 mark a lot of people want in.

Sometimes I honestly don't understand why people buy during times like this.
I bought 20 BTC when the price dropped to $210.

I see every major drop as an opportunity.

You are quite unique in this regard. You trade with thinking, not with feeling. When price was 210, most people thought it would crash down further and were afraid to dive in. You saw an opportunity and took it.

Just buy a bit when you can and don't start panicing when you get some small losses.. it will recover, but it just needs some time.

Well people who is panicking is just the people who are not really busy with bitcoin.
Everyone know that this always happen in the past years.
Bitcoin will be fine at the end of every year.
