Title: bitcoinplus scam
Post by: Geir on November 28, 2012, 07:08:06 PM
Looks like bitcoinplus is a scam. I worked up 0,11 BTC on that page, trough the browser believe it or not (took a long time). Sep 28, 2012 I tried to get the BTC out, and now 28/11 it still says processing. I've sent them two mails no answer. Luckily not a big sum but still irritating.

Just wanted to warn the rest of you.

Just wanted to warn the rest of you.

There's been no shortage of warning messages on this forum.  A simple search yields dozens of similar reports.

But thanks.

Look at the date. The site owner never aknowledged anything about missing payments.

No. I did not gave so much importance to screencap since I got scammed of only 0,02 BTC that someone else generated on some old website of mine that I forgot about.

I understand that and I think that is exactly why this scam is still going on. The quantity lost is so small that no user have any interest to produce the necessary evidence against them. The owners of the Internet page knows that no user will even bother to call the law enforcement to denounce the fraudulent scheme.

There is strong evidence that bitcoinplus.com is a scam.

The website claims that a miner must have earned at least 0.01 BTC before he can transfer the money to his account. After spending two weeks mining on several machines, I finally earned 0.01 BTC. Just as I was about to make the transfer, the website notified me that a 0.01 BTC transaction fee was to be charged. I did not have sufficient money, so I kept on mining, hoping to earn 0.02 BTC by next week.

Today, however, I noticed several strange events. First, the payout used to be 851 satoshis per share submitted; now it had mysteriously become 721 satoshis per share submitted. Second, although my miners were submitting work, the payout slowly ceased---until I was not getting any payout at all, while all my CPU cores were busy mining at 100%. An hour ago, the site's web server went down.

I am not going to mine at bitcoinplus.com any more. >:(

It is a well known scam. Stay away from Bitcoinplus.

you need minimum 0.01 btc to be able to transfer (This it tells you immediately). Then you spend weeks mining 0.01 so you can finally transfer. Then you find out its 0.01 transaction fee. This it DOES NOT tell you in the beginning, only when you have 0.01 BTC in your account, several weeks later. There is no way to find this information in the beginning except by reading the forums.

Assume that 1000 people manage to get 0.01 BTC and find that they need additional 0.01 BTC to transfer, they give up.. Now that scammer has made 10 BTC using our computers!!

Furthermore there are stories of him not transferring money even when there is enough balance to cover the 0.01 fee (which is extremely high!)

Has anyone actually got payment from this site? I'd really like to check the tx and find the actual fee paid.

Someone should seriously DDoS this site and report them to Google.
