Title: Does anyone even care about handmade goods anymore?
Post by: TheGr33k on December 10, 2015, 12:41:03 AM
What in the world is she gonna do with these bunch of people who work at home in their parents basement and insist they don't "troll", and that they make statements, and lie about getting paid 1400 to be a complete "perfectionist" on the internet?

Hehehe.

This advertising which promotes people working from home is ruining part of the economy.  Not everyone can work from home and some of the work that can be done from home is not being done from home because people can simply not be trusted.  What are we going to do with this world today!!  We should all work from home and make millions, how does that sound.

Nope, actually handmade goods are more defective than machine made goods because of the nature of human beings.
Anyways, handmade goods are worth it...IF you have some cash to throw away.

I don't think that's worth it... I mean they can get up to 5x more expensive than the machine made stuff that they're selling in the supermarkets but only, say lasts 2x as long. That's not worth it IMO.

I think that you right about this, but will you agree that the handmade is one of the best methods if you want to make something beautiful?

Here, let's take the example of Rolls Royce:

They are completely hand made and are very high quality cars. Cadillacs are made by machines and even though they are high quality too, they still don't have that same kind of luxury to it. It also costs more for the name.

So basically, one of the most expensive cars is definitely Rolls Royce, because it is handmade job! I don't have nothing against the robots who produce most of cars in the world, but I think in future that the robots will dominate with the factories and maybe even with the world... :)

Human creations ALWAYS have errors, ALWAYS.
Machines are unfailing in their accuracy.

Yes. Very many people do have the urge and feel to own the homemade products. The reason is because the products have this unique taste and look which can not be compared to the products made in a company using machines. I have seen my mother with lots of homemade baskets and even chairs which have lasted more years even when compared to the manufactured ones in the industries. I am just sure that you have not been keen when walking around to notice the items being sold.

Who created the machines?

Handmade items are not always better is the issue.  I like hand made items, but the machines are making them better and cheaper.  The machines were needed in order to get as far ahead as we have in this world.  There is no way we would be thi far in advancement if we did not have machines doing some of the work for us.

they are more popular than ever actually, with etsy and the like! Lots of these are just made in chiense factories though, just sold as "hand-made" so it's hard to tell usually.

I like handmade products because they are durable, also produce by common people so new ideas used in it, while machinery made goods have no variation. But the cost of handmade goods is higher then machine produced.

Who created the machines?
If machines create things for machines are they then handmade to the machines?

Sometimes errors are what the charm is in handmade, you  don't ALWAYS want uniform all the single time, do you?
