Title: Loan scammer
Post by: Athertle on December 11, 2015, 02:47:43 AM
This user (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=314868) has defaulted on a loan (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1274346.msg13136455#msg13136455) and doesn't have any -reps from DT members. Can anyone on DT tag him so that it'll show up as red for most people?

ranochigo gave him this loan.

It looks like his loan request thread is here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1274661.0), the txid for the loan is bf7000b778bc0759b87d73ce37692632f5bf354122760e455f32c97305e1bb23 (http://blockchain.info/tx/bf7000b778bc0759b87d73ce37692632f5bf354122760e455f32c97305e1bb23), the repayment address was  1Loan3kBnPovxTRHEYJqQTG9ve4jgXTJ46 (http://blockchain.info/address/1Loan3kBnPovxTRHEYJqQTG9ve4jgXTJ46). All this is based on this archive (https://archive.is/5KnXy) of the thread.

edit: you, or the lender can PM me if/when the loan is repaid

Its only a few days late, and he may have been in contact with the loaner already to work out a payment plan. Question is why are you the 1 making this thread and not the loaner?

The alt account of the user Surge_PR is Froststick(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=139046), they share the same btc address.

It seems though that the FrostStick account has been sold.

lender ranochigo made a bad decision on funding Surge_PR non-collateral loan request and looking at his loan thread, most of his mini-loans are non-collateral which makes him a favorite target of loan scammers or account sale disguised as loan.

Yes looks like it is the BTC address of FrostStick

Thanks, QS, for the extra info. :)

If he were in contact with him then he wouldn't have tagged him with a -rep of his own saying that he's defaulted on his loan.

I made the thread because I noticed and I didn't want the guy to be running around scotch-free except for an untrusted tag by ranochigo. I wasn't sure if he had contacted someone already so I made a thread of my own.

Tagged accordingly.

You probably should tag this person here as well: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=139046

He's a proven alt.

Gave him a few days to reply but he didn't even keep in contact with me. I actually asked Shorena last night to help to tag him with a negative. Thanks Athertle for looking out for me. I'll be taking a long break though but I'll request someone to help me to look out for any default.

It was a bad decision making on my part for making that loan. Sorry guys!

It happens, don't worry about it.
