I have a question. Every one has a desire to do something but in the end we will do other things.As I desired to be a doctor but ends up in an Computer Professionl...It will be interesting if you share your experiences

I wanted to become an anthropologist, studying extinct tribes, their languages, customs, religious beliefs.etc. But there was a lot of pressure from my parents to pursue a "safer" and more lucrative profession. So I ended up with the insurance industry. But still, whenever I get time, I read books and articles related to anthropology.

I dont know why parents puch their pressure on childern to be what they want, i have seen some friends who lost their carrer becasue of this interfarance and now doing so low jobs.

I started my dream as a doctor. My dad's dream was me to became an aeronautical engineer. Finally its ends me up as a MECHanical engineer. But i'd some special interest on computer side since my childhood.

No worries dude. Now education is nothing dude. We can do degree at any age. I am wishing you to get success in computer sidw. I have interest in computer side as you have. I done Oracle certificate 3 months before. But working as HR only. But I am implementing IT features in my work. I am getting reward from my company too.

The teaching profession is a very noble one.

The best profession I like is which can pay me the best, I mean if bitcoin can give me best earnings in compare to IT professionals or Engineers then I would choose bitcoin as my profession.

I want to be an agriculturist before and I still want it.  I felt happy whenever I am surrounded with plants, trees, and flowers.  They are truly stress reliever.  And aside from they make you happy, they make your surroundings lively.  The produce you will get is much more delicious that those you can buy to the market.

I really like special forces specialized in long term natural survival... Specially the knowledge and respect about nature. I think they are the real ecologist ;-). Otherwise propagandists are fun, how they conquer and enslave the mind of the weak.

When I was in Grade 1 i wanted to become accountant but as I grow older, it changes. It later became Engineer, then Computer Science or IT but ended up being a Marine Transportation now.

I wanted to become a architect but ended up with a difference i have taken a different course which is Information Technology . I am supposed to take the course architecture before but its too late for me to take the entrance exam on that university where there is a course that i wanted to take . But im not saying that i am not happy with where i am right now i am still enjoying my life as a student .

As we age our choices change from experiences to what we hear about from someone.

I aim at building things that create value then aiming for a certain profession, but it would be running a agency of some sort that I can bill to a higher company.

So a business owner is what I`d be.. or anything that deals with management.

I think playing chess for a living is pretty awesome, especially if you're a successful grandmaster. These guys get to travel the world, stay in nice hotels and they can earn tens of thousands of dollars by winning a single tournament (in some of the top tournaments we're talking hundreds of thousands). Best of all they get to do something they truly enjoy.
The main difference between chess and other top professions is that there isn't really anything not to like about it (if chess is your thing).
Chess is chess anywhere you are, no matter who your opponent is, the rules are straight forward and always the same, your success is entirely dependent on you.
Most other professions no matter how awesome will have a ton of factors that evolve beyond your control. Take for example, playing video games for a living, there is no guarantee that you will be able to muster up the same passion for every single game you have to play. If you write novels for a living, there is no guarantee that people who read your work will enjoy it. Chess is simple, it's one of if not the purest mind game out there, it's always thrilling to analyze/look at chess positions  :)

Well I agree with you. Playing chess for a living is good when you love playing chess. It will also be nice to play basketball for a living.  ;D

I like creative persons. I don't care  what job they are doing. Computer programming, painting, musician, web developer, doctor, engineer... Just be creative and add something to your profession. If you do exactly what the others did before you and don't add anything to your profession, then you are  just a useless leech, a robot.

I really love to be a psychologist because I like to know how people behave and think and how their belief in life affect there decision. But I just end up being an IT(network admin) because I have basic knowledge in computer when I was young.

Same here. Same same here! I am fascinated with Psychology. Even up to now.. And same here, I am now an IT admin. Here now as an applications/unix support. MBTI, Enneagram, personality psychology to be particular.

I guess doing what you love is the best profession. Especially if it's creating something new.

being teacher i like the teaching profession the most. i am a Mathematics teacher. my personal experience says that the teaching profession is the the master of all the profession. a lot of respect is here, not a full time job. so many vacations and you can make money in teaching. i think the salaries of the teacher are also more reasonable as compare to other professions.

However every profession seems equally important. My physics teacher being an topper of his batch and also from a very rich family in Nepal chose teaching as a profession where he seems completely satisfied and is earning well and more important he is gain respect than that of any profession. So, IMO teaching is more interesting than flying a jet plane.

yes iti s a fact that every profession has its own importance. but i think some profession are  ore more respectable that other. if we talk about teaching. teacher are more responsibly personalities of the world. we respect our teacher for life time as compare to other professionals.

I have experienced being a teacher for some months. And i have to say that it is one of the hardest things i've ever worked with.

as of now i am just a student and i didn't have a profession yet . i really want and liked the course architecture and i want to be an architecture but i think sometimes it doesn't matter what do you like the most as long as it gives you satisfaction and happiness you are fine .

I was when i was child always dreaming to become football player and i was tryimg to go to football trainings to train football but i was not really succesfull in that thing.Now i am professional poker player and online worker and investitor and i couldnt imaginate better job than this which i do right now.

When I was in Grade school, my eldest sister is in college studying Accountancy and I like what she's doing that's why my dream is to be an accountant also plus I love Math and solving problems. Luckily, I am able to achieve my dream as an accountant but when I started my job, I realized that I don't want to be trap in a job for decades and just work at home that's why I am planning to study IT related courses.

Trading can be a long-term skill that can be convenient in any generation since we always have currency that we will use in everyday life we do. You can also have a good knowledge in economics once you start trading.

I think it's not necessarily important to learn economics for you to do trading, you just need to know the coin and learn when is the best moment to buy or sell. Once you knew this things, I think you can start trading already.

Yep. It might sound hard to understand with all the jargon and with all the technical infos. But if you get the hang of it, you'd actually realize it's not hard as it is.

being teacher i like the teacher profession the most. i like this profession because there is more respect in this religion as compare to any other profession. every one respect their teacher i can feel it while i am waling in my streets.

I desired to be a computer professional or a programmer, but now I study English in college as my major. my family didn't agree when I chose computer major, so I chose English, but I'm still a student, I can learn many things about both English and computer.

Yaa we need people who is really passionate about being teacher. There are some brilliant student who don't find job and becomes teacher just to earn money. These kind of teacher are not good for the young generation.

When I was young, I dreamed of becoming a Pilot (going to different places). Unfortunately, as I grow old, my focus was leading me to a different path. Now, I am getting older. So I think my dream is for my children to become a Pilot and live their life to the fullest! But of course, the decision will still depend on them. ;)

I was inthe same posotion as you. I wanted to become an anthropologist, paleontologist or an archaeologist (I grew up on Indiana Jones and fell in love with the Uncharted series) but later on I've ended up at the college of computing and science.

at childhood everyone see a dream and wishes to be at that position someday but as life proceds forwared we learn to face difficultys and later we start taking risks someone choose low profit but a fixed amount(salary) someone choose risk but grater profits(busness) so its depend in us what to choose

I really like professions related to IT, but more on the software/programming side. It's just awesome what the humanity has achieved and that's just the very beginning. No matter when you start to learn about things in the IT world, no matter how much you learn, there will always be something you don't know and there will always come new things and that's just fascinating.

I'm from a different profession related to numbers and analysis and I like it because I like to solve and analyze things but lately I've been interested in IT because it's information age now and almost all the things that we do are related to technology or shall I say we are dependent already in technology. Most jobs can be done online unlike before that you need to be physically in a certain place to do a job and this is why I am amazed with new technology because I wanted to work from home and it would be a great advantage if I am well versed with IT related stuffs like software and programming because its really in demand nowadays.

I really wanted to cook so I want to be a chef or maybe a pastry chef because I love eating.  I love desserts and good meal.  I remember myself watching every cooking shows available on televisions.  It is just hard since studying or taking that course would mean a lot of money.  Culinary schools tuition fees really are very pricey.  I hope someone or maybe a chance for myself to study or have a formal training.  I love to eat so I should learn how to cook.

Something to do with foods.  I want to be a chef before.  I always bought ingredients for me to cook something.  I always ended up on food magazines and reading new recipes.  I also bought some cook books andwoild always watch a cooking show. It is just hard to study cukinary as it is quite expensive.  I must earn a living first for my family rather than doing some lessons with it.

I desired to be a professional athlete, but that's hard. I desire to be a computer professional, but it's also hard finding work with just an associates degree and no connections.

Being a chef is so cool. They can do a lot of neat design with the foods. I wish I could do stuff like that, but I rather be a man. (I'm just kidding. I like a profession in economics but I am not that great at it so I think insurance is the best market to be in now.
With companies needing it because of fraud going on within those companies even they just don't need it from out side attacks but from within as well. :-\

I worked for around 2 years as a guitar luthier in a workshop. I'm sure it's been the best job sofar in my life. I really hope to start a workshop of my own somewhere in the next 10 years :)

Nope. I am from South-east Asia. And I don't speak Portuguese either. For the past 10 years or so, I am doing some part-time research on uncontacted tribes (i.e tribal societies with no contact with the outside world). And it seems like the largest number of them are in Brazil. There are no such societies in Southeast Asia.

Im from south east asia too. What country is yours? My profession is an architect and currently employed in one of the big construction company here in my country. I like to study finance. Computer programming is also cool but knowledge in finance is more important to me. Combining both in a right way would make you richer than the most.

Currently I am residing in Singapore, working in the property insurance industry (earthquake catastrophe risk modeling). Right now, I am thinking about taking a break, to pursue higher studies (either in the EU or in the US)....  Not much interested in Architecture by the way... I like to be a travel show host, you get to travel for FREE. This is a profession I'm willing not be paid as long I get to travel. You can immerse yourself in different culture, learn a new language, eat exotic food, meet new people and do activities that fills you with adrenaline rush and joy. Hope this will come true in the end.

I always wanted to be a lawyer. It seemed to me that this is a very good profession. The time has come, and I learned to be a lawyer. I have work experience of about 10 years. Someone might say "cool." I say it's all crap. In my country, this profession is not prestigious. In my city there are no vacancies. So I have to work where the pay is minuscule

When I was kid I like to be a lawyer because of the puzzle and the thrill. You get to help innocent people to get their justice but the real thrill comes when you've go to defend a guilty person. You gotta solve his case like a puzzle-looking for loopholes, making and finding alibis, spinning a believable story then, swaying the judge and the jury, convincing them that your client is not guilty. And the paycheck after that is also not bad.

I wanted to be a Dentist.  I ended up doing a variety of jobs.  I served in the military, worked at a hospital with a variety of different departments.  In addition, worked with rental properties as a maintenance assistant.  I decided to go back to school and use my work experience.  In the end, I finished BsM and a MBA which lead me to be more active in my interest in Bitcoin from my class discussions.

I wanna want to be a Teacher , its my dreames

I was always interested in English language (as it is) and Literature, that's why i started to study English philology (with a hope that someday I will become a decent writer, at least in my native language). After that I worked as a translator, enterpreter, even as a live casino dealer (the salary was too good not to try), but eventually I ended up working as an English teacher. Every job that I've tried was really interesting and gave me a lot of useful experience, I've spent amazing time by doing it. But my present job is probably the most favourite. I can say that I simply adore it, it saved me from my deepest depression and brought me back to life full of joy and energy (even though that I could never thought that I'd become a teacher, I really wasn't kind of person who adores children and teenager, especially communication with them on everyday basis).

In my early childhood I really want to b an engineer because I admire them a lot. But due to lack of money I did not achieve that profession. Now I am a computer technologist graduate. I am not now for what I dream to but I'm still happy that I am with this profession.

Economics is a major I am wanting to pursue so more than likely something to do in the money market.

I like engineering profession a lot .it offers a lot of challenges in our life and i like challenges a lot .well doctor profession is very good as no doctor is unemployed at all in this world .and this professional would never go down .kudoos :)

I fancy being a spaceman is that I would love to just float about up there. It sounds crazy. Seems like an easy life to me, I want in. Of course, the reality of life as an astronaut is somewhat different. Once in space, they face a whole range of challenges both physical and psychological. Not least must be the experience of weightlessness that is the one thing that everyone associates with space travel.

Well, you know, bein' in business for yourself has its advantages - make my own hours, nobody shoots me in the leg. It's the best profession.
When I was pregnant at the first time, I couldn't go to the work. I had to stay at home, and this was so boring! So I started to make homemade cosmetics. It's really interesting! And not hard to do. I use only natural components, eco-friendly ingredients. I search for the recipes on the internet and try it at first on myself and if it works, I sell it. I started selling from my friends, than posted an advertisement to the local forum and now I'm selling my cosmetics on Etsy. I buy ingredients in the pharmacy and in the grocery store. i like electrical engineering a lot .its quite interesting as its involves lot of complicated circuits and it involves a lot of brains .i hope by doing electrical engineering i  can make the world a better place to live .

Honestly, I believe that professional musicians are the happiest people on Earth. I always envied them, though in a good way, because unlike representatives of other professions musicians are actually able to render, share and convey happiness, joy, positive energy and the whole atmosphere of concord. assuredly everybody is different in gifted in his or her own way and hypothetically everybody can contribute to the common wellbeing and development of our society, but I believe that the future belongs to musicians.

We have the same passion though I never dream to be an agriculturist I w ant to be a successful farmer. Right now, I am interested on the online industry but I do plant cacao and other fruits in the available upland farm my family got.

When I was very young, my desire was to become a doctor. I have loved the sciences, and during my college days, I excelled. Somehow, I couldn't get medicine, I ended up studying, Animal and Environmental Biology, with specialty in Medical Parasitology. Well am still close to medicine. It's my best profession.

Best profession. Just my opinion being a VS model. You get paid by looking good and the best part is you'll be treated as VIP because of thenfame that includes in the package of being one of them.

Wanted to be a doctor back when i was in grade school. Things change when I grow up, one day I started to follow what my father do for a living but soon after he died, I worked to a 2nd hand car shop as salesman.

Being a doctor is a dream. its a real profession.
