Title: Bitcoin on Google
Post by: DATA COMMANDER on June 07, 2011, 02:04:32 AM
So I've been keeping track of the number of results for "bitcoin" on Google over the past week or so, and today it suddenly dropped from just under 3M to about 1.3M. Did Google just change their algorithm or something? Or do they try to limit the number of results for a search term by deleting the older or less relevant pages from their index?

No manual work is done. My guess is that some sites might remove content or simply get offline.

My guess, - Google just again drop trash from site promoters (all that unrelated to site search indexes).

I can tell you that the google trends for the last year looks surprisingly similar to the difficulty charts and price charts we've been seeing. Strong correlation http://goo.gl/tV0FT

I keep forgetting that google has a trend search...

Not a surprising result:

What's interesting though, is the stats for porn searches lol. I wonder what is going on in Delray Beach, FL...
