Dear miners from EU, I want to ask you you something. For now we can buy ASICs only from US-based companies like BTFL, AVALON and BTCFPGA.
That means that we must pay import taxes(7%), VAT(depends on country, but its 15%+) and international shipping costs.

Goods imported from non-member states are subject to VAT at the rate applicable in the member state into which the goods
are imported. VAT is generally charged at the border, at the same time as customs duty and using the price determined by customs.

for example :
Base price of Single SC is €1,081 (PayPal conversion rate)
+ Import taxes 7%
+ VAT ... depends on country, we have 20%
+ International Shipping €73
-------
€1446

Lets say that I am able to import this goods for much less. You dont need to give me money in advance.
I am just curious, if it will be some demand if I will sell them inside in EU for price €100-€150 lover than final price for EU-buyer.

NEXT SHIPPMENT DETAILS :

Next cargo will leave the USA on ~20th February, estimated time of goods arrival to klients is end of March.

In EU we dont pay any ''+ Import taxes" for Computer Peripherals, only VAT(20% for me in Bulgaria).

So,

Base price of Single SC is €1012
Without Import taxes
International Priority Shipping €68
VAT 20% from €1080(€1012+€68) is €216

The final price is €1296.

All with PayPal, but without their conversion rate.

No customs duty for Computer Peripherals in EU ? Are you sure ?

So still its almost €300 difference for one piece  :)

Ok, so lets say my price will be €150 down from €1296 ... I earn €150, client saves €150... that's fair.
I' am able to buy hardware in US and take it with "my" plane into the EU ... i have a lot of free space, i know the waters and i am traveling a lot.

Discounts for bulk orders are welcome.

I am doing this for years, never had problem ... €30 000 ... you should know me earlier ;D as an employee i don't have whole plane for myself. And I am working only on US-EU lines... never on China-EU. Not looking for millions either, but thank you for advice :)

If you are thinking about turning this ability of yours into a BTC business, how about you providing carrier service for items sold here and in bitcoin auctions between the two sides of the pond? How much weight can you carry?

I mean, many times have I given up on a deal because it would be expensive to ship (heavy or bulky) and I'd have VAT on my side too (21%). If you would charge 5~10% over the sale price that would be much cheaper for me and a good deal for you.

There's obviously the issue of trust and once on the EU side you'd have to ship the item so I could receive it, so not straight forward. Just an idea really... (I would love it if you could carry a rack mountable server for me :) ).

Usually i take 10% provision from product price, but for expensive goods like servers we can negotiate about price. Yes about trust ... we could use some escrow service (https://escrow.com/), or if my capital allows it I can buy it from my own. And you will pay me, after you receive it. For beginning, I could open 10slots for BitoinTalk once per month, for now i have only €500 left for this from my personal funds. But if someone is willing to use escrow.com (its very secure for both sides) then my personal funds will not play the role in this.

The situation now is : If the client is able to deliver goods into Secaucus, NJ 07094 by the 15th of December(If not, we must wait for next month.), then the client could have an item at home in the middle of January 2013.

Don't you think that if there was a really legit way of doing this, everyone would be doing this? Sony and Microsoft would sell their consoles at 10% less here in the eu, for example.
There is no way that you can do that without breaking any laws.

Yeah, people see scam everywhere. Even on my site. Here in Slovenia is also 0% of fees but you pay 20% of tax and some small % in the customs office.
So there is the best solution to get only the hardware, no software, because sometimes they test hardware.

if you would be doing this, would you "change the price" so the 25% vat would be so painfull? :P

you pretty much buy whatever asics, have them shipped to eu. then resell them?

When time comes - Avalon second batch i will start a thread for group buying. I do have some Lancelots for trade in (400 USD trade in price as initially announced from Avalon team), i can handle EU customs also and reship Avalons to EU without any taxes (EU to EU delivery). Just to let everyone know, if you are going to buy Avalon - second batch check the forums. For sure there will be reduction from Avalon price + VAT + shipping for all of us. I am not going into details, because it is to early for that.

As i said it is early for this yet. I just do not want to start another thread. According to Avalon statements if they are on time i will start the thread first or second week of January when time comes of course.

Yes lot of China vendors and suppliers do that with no problems, at this time I have one fake samsung galaxy tab 2 on the way from china with declared value $20 and description as "broken electronics". But no chance to do this from apple.com ;D btw Apple goods are way more cheaper on US market as here in EU ;)
