Whats the point of an anonymous card if your using it in person?

Apparently you can reload it directly with bitcoin, but it doesn't appear to be anonymous. I'm actually not sure about finding a truly anonymous re-loadable card because from what I've read there is regulation that they must comply with. Also, to do online purchases you apparently need to have an address associated with your card so that it can be verified against the billing address information that you input in an online order form. I suppose you could use a box number though and try to rent an anonymous po box. I was hoping to just buy a re-loadable walmart card or something and then us btcpak.com to purchase greendot moneypaks to reload it with. Unfortunately I can't find any re-loadable cards in Canada that can be reloaded using the moneypaks. Yeah I found hat card too, but if you don't verify, you can't top it up past $1,000. Meaning, once the $1,000 is done, you're not allowed to top it up anymore. So that is pointless. I wonder if we could get a reloadable card from the US, bring it back to Canada and use it. You wouldn't think there would be limitations on it. Maybe I'll contact them, and say I'm travelling to Canada, and see if it will work. I'd just hope they wouldn't freeze it or something if they seen transactions going through for months. ** edit, well I just seen you need a SSN and address, so that might not be the one. Isn't there one at Walmart (US) that you can just buy on the spot and not need any personal information? Or is that the same thing and you need to register it with your address anyways? and other services but only in the U.S. of course. You can see where you can use them from their website. In order to refill them you will need to register the card. In the US there is no legal way to do this.

They have loadable vanilla cards but those require name and info in order to re-load and get a pin(and they send you a new card to use with your name on it in the mail). <-- same deal as the greendot. The polish cards are truly anonymous as you can register them with bogus information and they work at an ATM. 200 daily atm limit, 3500 per year (so after 3500 the card is worthless) and the max load is like 1200 I think. It's available in USD/Euro/PLN.

You can order them directly from the bank for $5 but they only ship to Poland which is the main problem. I currently have 4 cards and they work fine.

Don't know about paying online, but it should be useful when paying your groceries or withdrawing from an ATM. A friend of mine lives in Poland and orders them from the bank, then he can ship to you/anyone else. You can load bitcoins onto the card by selling bitcoins on bitstamp (my preferred website) and probably a lot others. The cards that my friend ships you are unopened straight from the bank, so it truly is completely anonymous.

Good $$ opportunity. BitInstant (I think) a while ago promise a debit card that stored your balance in BTC but converted instantly on purchase, so a little different than these cards that you load USD onto after already selling the BTC in advance. I guess both have their advantages. But this card never materialized. It's a pretty big undertaking; I'm sure someone will figure it out eventually and boy will they score because that's exactly what everybody wants right now.
