Title: Will Electrum take over my Hard Drive

I used the Windows Bitcoin app     https://bitcoin.org/en/download (https://bitcoin.org/en/download)  to store send and receive my bitcoins. Now that I am on Linux I have downloaded Electrum.

I wasnt too happy with my Widows Wallet. It took forever to get up to date and used Tons of Hard drive space..


Does Electrum do the same...

No, it will not  ;D

It's a HD wallet, it won't download the full blockchain, so it'll be really small.
Just remember to write down your seed words!

No. it uses special servers and only scans the blockchain and downloads block headers only. It uses very little space compared to wallets that download the entire blockchain.

Electrum is an SPV (Simplified Payment Verification) client.
