Title: If Mayweather made a comeback, would you bet on it?
Post by: pereira4 on December 16, 2015, 01:26:44 AM
I used to make so much mone with Mayweather fights, I would always bet in a win and the guy won and won nonstop for years, of course you needed to bet a pretty decent amount since the odds were always in his favor. Sometimes it was close as hell with Maidana 2 and I got pretty shaky.
Anway, would you bet that Mayweather would win his 50th fight? I just have a feeling that he might come back next year with another fight, probably the last one to have that perfect number.

I think it won't happen again since he's already retired. And if miracle happen, absolutely I will bet on him.
I like the way he attempt to knock out the opponent

Well he has retired at least twice before, 2008 and I think 2012, the took long breaks, but if you are in top shape and you still have the itch to compete, you will fight again even if it means contradicting yourself, he has done it before.

Mayweather once again stressed he wouldn't be tempted to make a comeback rather than he will teach Rousey a Boxing lesson,LOL .If Floyd ever attempts a comeback it would be for a good reason, money shouldn’t be an issue for him.

Money would be an issue for him coz of his extravagant spendings and I would bet that he will lose if he ever attempt to comeback.. He is getting older, not younger.

Mayweather fights in general are pretty boring to watch. Very few punches thrown no action at all, just him staying away from opponents. So to answer your question would i bet on it? Yea id prob bet that the fight would go the distance n he would win by decision

Mayweather already established a reputation being undefeated on his career and he will definitely not let someone ruin it. He got tons of money and there's a big chance he, or should I say his money, can manipulate a fight cuz you know, money makes the world go round. :D
So to answer, yes I will bet. I am also willing to bet as much as I can because I am that confident he will win.

If Mayweather makes a comeback in Boxing I will not make any bets at all since most of his fights the odds are always in his favor and profit is very low, just like his last fight. You need make a huge bet to earn big.

Isn't Ronda Rousey done now after she lost? Maybe she should stick to her movie career now.

It depends on who will be his opponent. I have respect for Mayweather, but his time might be over. I saw similar situation with a lot of old fighters.
They go back, the hype about the fight is huge and then fighter from younger generation takes them out.

I think I will bet against him.
His opponent will get high odds, and that's what I like.
He is getting older and older, and the instinct are not as before.

If it did happen it would depend largely on who he is facing. Never know when someone decides it would be good to put him up against some other retired guy lol. In that case i could go with him, if he is to face someone new, i think his odds are not as great.

Yes i agree with you, mayweather fight style so damn boring to watch. not like manny pacquiao that fighter style. i want rematch mayweather and manny pacquiao with his 50th fight.

He will not comeback anymore after he win his last battle. He is a coward because he didnt choose khan to be his last opponent but instead choose someone that has lost from khan. That is a coward action that tells you he want to keep his perfect record

I also don't think he will be back to fight again after sometime if he would like to fight again than it can be risky for it to keep himself unbeaten.

For money making purposes yes I will bet for Gaywaeather. Of course the bout will take place again at his favorite venue where he controls the judge so you are playing against the master house edge here.

If for heart purposes, I will bet against him.

If the odds is good, why not? But why would he make a comeback, when he is already very rich, has a perfect 49-0-0 record and has been widely considered to be the best boxer (while many fans hate his defensive style)?

He has enough money to keep wasting on ridiculous luxuries pretty much for life. Of course you can always end up broke no matter how rich you are but take into consideration the fact that when he buys 1 million dollar watches, he isn't really spending 1 million, because he is getting paid back by the brand in ad revenue, that's why he takes pics everytime he buys something. It's all a business.

He is considered as a best boxer because of his record not because of his boxing style. Alot of boxer are considered as one of the best because of their boxing style although they have not very good record

yes, he is a smart guy if he comes back, but the probability is extremely low cause he is rich enough, he doesn't more money, he is a billionaire, which money will cover he and his teams for remaining life. if he plays again, i think his winning odds will be very low, so we can hardly make big money

For the guys that say that he will end up broke because of his flashy lifestyle, I think they don't get it. This guy is not Mike Tyson which was reckless and didn't gave a fuck, this guy is really sharp and a businessman, it's always investing, hangs out with Warren Buffet. All he does is exploit his own persona to make even more money, he isn't showing off for nothing. He's enjoying his money, and making even more money out of it. He's set for life, unless he really losses his mind somehow because that much money and power can delude anyone, but it's unlikely.

If you know that this guy is more into investing the money then proabably he will not be back into boxing again. This guy only boxing to get money that is why he keeps playing more on defensive

The ONLY way im betting against Mayweather is if he fights GGG, but he has been ducking the guy for ages and with a reason, because GGG is too big for him.... in other words, he will not fight again, unless he fights a lower tier class like Berto and no one really wants to see that once again.

Would definitely like to see that happening, Mayweather was one hell of a fighter I would put a few satoshi on him.

Probably no, because i think mayweather already pass the peak of his performance,

so i dont think mayweather will be as good as he used to be

but i need to see his opponent, if i think his opponent is weaker than Mayweather (eventhough Mayweather is bit old) i will bet on him

Well, Mayweather gets praised by everyone as the greatest defensive fighter of all times. His defense is legendary, he will be remembered by his fighting style as well. His stance is very characteristic.
