Bitcointalk is a forum not a social networking site. This is a place for information and bitcoin cryptocurrency discussion.

I hate social networking sites. They are such a waste of time. I don't understand why people find it so good.

Don't like the social networks much but if I have to choose then Linkedin

My choice will be definitely facebook, and here is why...

Unlike the other social medias, at facebook you have the free will to choose what ever you like to do. You can like, comment, posting everything (status, pictures, links etc.) and most of all, you can like pages or follow then and read the news.

Basically, facebook gives you everything and you can choose what you will do. Here, I will tell how I use my facebook daily...

I like pages who shares articles that I want to read. Every day I spent around 2-3h on reading. After I learn how to use facebook, I find my job, change my hobbies and sports activities and most of all, I finally have friends that I know them! ;)

I have been using twitter for quite a while. Using popular hastags to find messages are the best.

I have this conversation last night... :)

I start my discussion that facebook can be good and bad in the same time if you don't know how to use it. There are people who login on facebook just to see what their friends are doing, how many likes they have on their picture, how many people agree with their comment etc.

And while I was talking about this, my friend stop me and says: Instagram is better! :D

So my question to her was: Why?.. And she tell me that it is interesting to watch pictures. Wait, are we already have that option on facebook? I don't see nothing special in watching someone else pictures. If you doing something professional and is related with some art or photographing, then I think that Instagram will be the best option for you! But, watching someone else pictures and follow people is quite non-sense for me. :)

Don't like the mainstream social media anymore. Have Facebook, Twitter and use it only for win new info and not talk about my whole life like some people do.

I am using Facebook for a long period of time, and i like it because i can stay in touch with my friends and find everything i need on it. I can find events, places, persons and many other thing i need. Few months ago i started using Instagram and it is nice social networking site, you can follow many people and find many interesting stuff. But i think that Facebook is better.

Actually i don't like any of them. I just use them because of other people would think i am normal. Its just keeping up appearence to me. Twitter is the most non personal and i like that the most. Second instagram or watching hot girls.

I have used different social network sites. Hi5.com was my first social site. Also I have used twitter, vk, top and other social sites. My favorite social network site now is facebook. I am using too long ago. Here I am talking with my friends, I am sharing pictures and more other things. It is the most popular social network sites in the world at the moment. It is the best for me. :)

Facebook is always one of my best social media website. The reason is because it has a lot of people who are very active come every minute. I therefore find that I will always be updated with any information that comes up. The other thing is the ability to create the fan pages which you can easily use to market several stuffs. I have been doing that for quite sometime and believe me you there is a lot of money on this social media.

I think Instagram is more interesting them all the others

Twitter seems to be the one that makes the most sense but I really hate social networking so I don't use any.

Among the ones you mentioned twitter is quite useful. Anyway, the best one in my opinion is reddit, altough it is not only a social network, but also a social bookmarking site.

For bitcoin, I love bitcointalk.  This is the best place to be, however, there are a large number of people out there whoa re not all into BTC yet, so I have to go to other social networking sites in order to advertise and network for the small company I run.  I like the format of Bitcointalk and how simple it is to use.  FaceBook sucks compared to bitcoin talk.  But everyone has their own opinion.

I prefer Whatsapp as it's more personal but don't know if it comes within the definition of a "social network".

I think it is, facebook owns it which is one of the biggest social network in the planet.

Have account on almost all but use IRC, for talking to geeks, bitcointalk for bitcoiners and whatsapp( not a social network) for friends.

i prefer with facebook, instagram, twitter will be a good option. because there are many people which will follow and respond about what you share in that social networking. beside that, many of my friends that not stay in one city will use social network to communicate with each other.

discussion forums are for learning, Facebook is for mindless dribble and stalking people. Snap chat is for stalking people with videos.

I can see the need for an API, but truthfully, I'm glad I can't post the same things to Facebook/Twitter/Google+. They're different mediums and, as such, serve different purposes. I think this is part of why analysis of social networks falls flat so many times. Google+ isn't Google's alternative to Facebook. It's not a carbon copy. It's for different things.
I think that privacy is a different topic of discussion. That being said, for most of these services, if you're going to post something, it should be assumed that you're doing it publicly. Facebook is sort of the exception, in that you have to approve people to be your friends before they can see your stuff (if you set up your privacy settings first), but the company is also trying really hard to move towards public sharing which is problematic for users who can't ever know how their content will be displayed.

My best social networking app is whatsapp. It's not really a site, I know.

I like it because I don't get friends invite from people I don't know.

facebook is a better way for publicity so i fond of fb . but i think twitter and other are useful when you are already a famous person . so i like fb more than other .

Facebook have the largest number of people and is probably the best. Some might say that there are a lot of nonsense there like what I believe many years ago but you can just set your settings as per your taste since there are also lots of informative groups and pages there.

I met my wife on Spaces and very pleased with this site. There are many and communication and information, and all sorts of files.

I can remember MySpace, it was good times but facebook is much better nowdays.

Do you mean windows spaces? I had an account on there and met people from all over the world.
Then the day came when they shut it down, but they asked did you want to migrate you posts over to new account on wordpress.

I did that but all contacts that I had, never came across also, just as well I had quite a few email contacts, I never used the wordpress blog ever again, it just was not the same.

I use Twitter now, not for networking friends, just for information on bitcoin, and #hashtag searches.

Twitter is the best for me because I have privacy there unlike facebook that is more popular on my country that even a 5years old child has already an account.

I register a lot of social networks, but for yourself one very important there. I use all as required.

Six years ago, I did not use even the internet, and now am a cool dude everywhere on the internet.

For me the best networking site for now that Im using is facebook and Twitter.

Today talked all night on facebook. Very good network and makes it possible to have a lot of friends.
