Well, the easiest route would be looking people up on LocalBitcoins. You'll surely find someone.

Another way is using an exchange service, get the money to your bank account and then get the cash out.

Depending on where you are you can look for a BTC ATM in your vicinities. you can check for it at coinmap.org. Aside this you can through to sell them on Localbitcoins, or you can sell them on an exchange, in this case the Kraken exchange and in a day or two you will have your money in the bank.

Why don't you look for an ATM? it is currently the fastest way to sell your bitcoins.

In Europe you can do SEPA bank transfers for a ridiculously low price, like about 10 cents.

Use the Kraken exchange to sell your Bitcoins, then do a SEPA withdrawal from it to your bank. The Kraken has a bank account in the EU so it only costs about 10 cents to transfer your money from its account to your EU bank account (provided your country uses the Euro). The transfer should take less than a day (again provided your country uses the Euro).

(I suppose you're planning for travelling)
When I was in hungary I looked up potential exchangers using mycelium's "local trader" feature, but there were very few of them (I did not have a direct need but was just curious).
So you probably need to plan and arrange for meeting people a bit in advance. Localbitcoins.com might be a good source, of course.

Whenever you're meeting with strangers in unfamiliar locations, make sure that it's a safe place. In many countries, tourists are often enough victims of scams or outright robbery, especially when there's a significant difference in (real or perceived) wealth between tourists and average local people.

There are many places where ATMs are not available. Op as many have said localbitcoins is good option to sell and get cash or use bitcoin debit card provided by e-coin or bitx.(fees might be bit high)

The best option IMHO is Localbitcoins, which ain't anything new.
But, for second option (not vouching), you can try: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=266875.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=266875.0)

http://siriusmoney.com/ (http://siriusmoney.com/) is their website.

Yes, Localbitcoins would be the way to go if your planning to travel. Just send a PM to a trader an arrange a meeting when in Wien, or elsewhere..
Maybe Myceliom could work as well, haven't tried it yet.

You can check also https://www.cashila.com/ which allows to trade bitcoin and send it to any SEPA bank account in Europe, if that is what you are looking for.

The best way is to check out:

  • Sell BTC to trusted members of bitcointalk for FIAT (bank)
  • Sell BTC on exchange, then send FIAT in your bank account

Localbitcoins is quite expensive (the market is quite narrow and buyers pay less)
If you find a ATM it would be good but when there are no ATM's in the neighbourhood, you can try a BTC creditcard.
I've had no experience with that though, so make sure to check the reviews.

I don't know about those cities generally We can send through the traders in localbitcoins. in localbitcoins We can get the trade for the updated rate and very less exchange rate from the traders. But little careful while you buying and selling that because Some scammers also there.

if you want to change it directly into cash and not against fiat money on a bank account, you can try to sell it on localbitcoins.com. if you want to exchange it via SEPA then you can use Dutch-based service anycoindirect.eu or German-/Austrian-based service bitcoin.de. Both are registered legit companies.

The best way is if you can find anyone near in your city or inside your country, otherwise you should check in an exchange that accepts SEPA transfers.

if you don't want to do it locally, you can do it via exchange and then receive the money on your bank account, after that you just go to any atm in your zone and withdraw your cash

Simply put "localbitcoins.com" into your url bar. There, everything is clear now, eh?

Just remember to find a trusted or legitimate seller, and take safety precautions. Besides this, everything should be fine.

Use a VPN if localbitcoins is blocked in some countries

That's the worst way of getting cash in exchange for BTC. The transfer fees, exchange fees and all the stuff make it better to do via LocalBitcoins, or just finding a friend who will buy bitcoins from you.

What I would like though, is more Bitcoin two-way ATMs. That's helpful for both people and decentralization.

For me the best way is exchanging my btc/altcoins on litebit.eu its a website out of netherlands but there payments to you bank account are insanely fast.
It never takes more than 2 days, mostly its there on the next day. (I live in germany)
The only problem is their updates of the btc price is a bit slow.
The other site wich is very good is coinimal.com once you are verified you can easily exchange in different ways.

They work pretty nice for me here in germany. :)

not for me, my exchange fee is ridiculous low 0.009 and the fee from atm is zero for me, with deutesche bank

so as you see is the best way

Czech Republic - Localbitcoins is great if you have more accounts within multiple banks, otherwise its complicate to find some online trader (with same bank).
Also tried bitstock.com but if you want to trade higher amounts you have to register, confirm your identity and link your bank account.
Few ATMs is in Prague, and other big cities but I never used any.
