Title: [SOLVED] localbitcoins.com - currently not available in your region
Post by: franc on December 16, 2015, 02:19:42 PM
Hallo
I am from Germany and I get since a while this message in my localbitcoin account:
Quote
Unfortunately LocalBitcoins is currently not available in your selected region. Please look for other location or come back later.
I tried to use a different Proxy (with foxyproxy in Firefox) from e.g. US but it doesnt help.

What can I do to use localbitcoins.com in Germany?
Is there any proxy country which would help?
There is no known proxy from finland though :(

Yes, I know there is this thread about it (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=886598.0), where this question is already posted.
Unfortunately it is filled with gossip about meanings, thinkings and thoughts but after reading some many posts, I gave up to find a real answer or solution.
Or ist there at least a comparable bitcoin seller like localbitcoins.com?

Thank

frank

I just discovered, that without any Proxy, I can just click the 'Change' in:
"Showing advertisements in Germany. Change"
where I can then "Change location to:" e.g. Austria, and then I could buy with SEPA, maybe this is possible?
Someone tried this?

If the link 'Change' is not there, I can click again on 'Buy Bitcoin' and back it is.

OK, I just did it. No worries. Just to click another country and not germany, so the deep sense of Localbitcoins is gone as this is not local anymore, but anyway, I had never bought any btc really locally cash by hand, I ever used SEPA.
So that is it. I just bought some btc from spain :)
