The world of stocks just got a major technological shake-up, thanks to the company Overstock.com. A request by the company has just been approved by the United States Securities and Exchange Commission which approves the transfer of stock through the online system called blockchain. This is the same system used for the digital currency bitcoin. In an interview with WIRED, Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne explained that going public with this new system of stock exchanges is "high on our list of priorities for 2016."
