Lawmakers Have Snuck CISA Into a Bill That Is Guaranteed to Become a Law

To anyone who has protested the sweeping, vague, and privacy-killing iterations of the Cybersecurity Information Sharing and Protection Act or the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act over the last several years, sorry, lawmakers have heard you, and they have ignored you.

And so it did... if there was some semblance of privacy before, it's gone now.

And the interesting part is that even Homeland Security was saying, back in July, that the amount of information of "dubious value" they would be collecting threatened to overwhelm their capabilities - now that a more vague, and far reaching version of CISA has passed, how useful is it going to be for security? (although it could be argued none of its versions ever were)

The story, as covered by TYT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqIRrZE8IZk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqIRrZE8IZk), "Congress Sneaks CISA Into Omnibus Bill. NSA Gets Everything." (7m01s)

They are just going to do whatever they want anyway. IMO the importnt thing is to know that they are watching everything, not just assume or doubt. So watch your ass if you are not protecting your privacy yourself, the gov't will not be doing it for you..
