Title: Need help, 0 confirmation after 24 hrs +
Post by: Lebronjames23 on December 18, 2015, 03:09:45 AM
Hey guys so I was recently sent 2 transactions over 24 hrs ago using Bitwallet. Usually takes around 30mintutes to go through. I did pay minor fees of 0.0001btc.
Here are my transactions:
https://blockchain.info/tx/33210d4dfbf4605aa2b2d2b2ce8662b5c6c3a647888d0aebdbbe4c5cb91d90ca

Can someone help me push these transactions through, or tell me what is happening? Thank you!

Your fees might be a little low, but the problem in those transactions are that one of the outputs in each transaction is a dust output. Dust outputs are outputs that have amounts less than or equal to 0.00002730BTC. Transactions that have dust output are considered nonstandard so they are less likely to be relayed and less likely to be mined as most nodes will reject such transactions. That is the problem with your transactions. All you can do is wait and hope they either get confirmed or are dropped by the network. If they are dropped, then you can resend them but without the dust outputs by either lumping the dust into the other output or into the fee.

the fees is much enough, but the transaction still not confirmed, i think something odd happening on your wallet, did you update your wallet periodically?

Knightdk is correct. But the fees is actually sufficient IMO.

You can try to use FSSRBF(first seen safe replace by fee). You need to script another transaction that
1. Have at least the same output addresses.
2. Amount of each output is at least the original amount.
3. Sufficient fee.

You need more inputs to add the amount sent in the output. Don't do this unless you're urgent.
1. Go https://coinb.in/#newTransaction and make a transaction fulfilling the requirements.
2. Export your private key and copy the unsigned TX to https://coinb.in/#sign.
3. Go to https://chain.localbitcoins.com/tx/send and broadcast your TX.

I think it is because I havent updated the app. I'm in no rush, if i wait it out it will eventually be resent to my account? Do you guys know how long it will take?

Actually the reasons have already been explained to you by above replies, one of the outputs in both the transactions are very small and which is why they may take a while to confirm and they might even not and get dropped if no minors accept them, in which case the funds will reappear back in your wallet.

You can update the app but the funds will only be shown in your account if and when that transaction gets rejected and pools forget about them, which can take up to 2-3 days or more. You can either wait or if you have some knowledge about rebroadcasting transactions you can do as suggested by ranochigo above, but I wouldn't suggest it since it seems you're still new to this.

He has paid the full fees... But anyhow you should wait a few more days before you reach for help again.

Pay more in fees and get it processed faster. Simple as pie.

It sure would be nice if there was some sort of -setmaxconfirmblocks <num> blocks command-line parameter whereby if the transaction wasn't confirmed within the alotted number of blocks it would force dropping it.

Good news. Your second transaction got dropped.  If any of your input or output is less than 0.01BTC, you should consider to pay higher than standard fees since this transaction will be seen as low priority.

Wrong. If the outputs is less than 0.01BTC each, the free transaction relay policy will not be met and hence you need to pay fee. If you have outputs less than 0.01BTC/more than 1kb/have insufficient priority, you need to pay at least 0.00005BTC/KB if nodes running reference implementation use the default settings. After that, priority is ranked based solely on BTC/KB.

Input amounts in BTC doesn't matter when talking about free transaction, only outputs does.

Please, don't spread wrong information.
