Yes, this has been asked and answered numerous times.I believe they have already done some test migrations. :) Indeed, first dataset import was done about half an year ago iirc. That's how it'll be during the beta, but after total migration there'll need to be a somewhat-hidden page for using your old password. Otherwise people with invalid emails would get locked out. He said it will be a straight public beta after the public beta(so no semi-public beta where regular users can apply or be selected). But I'll shoot him a question anyway.
OTOH Lauda is correct, the public beta is pretty close at this point so probably won't be a long wait. |
