Extra costs

---

• We need to pay VAT to import the Kialara's into The Netherlands, which is the largest extra cost we have (we do not have to pay import costs). It's currently at 21% (but I'm trying to convince the customs right now that they are in fact art pieces (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1084109.msg12324422#msg12324422)).
• The disbursement fee of the used postal service (UPS charges €11.25, PostNL €13, EMS €17,50, etc.).
• The bubblewrapped envelopes. €4 for 10 pieces.

Terms

---

• The group buy won't happen if not at least 5 coins are ordered.
• The group buy will be closed, for new participants, when we hit 20 coins or when January ends.
• Once the group buy is closed for new participants the final price will be determined and split between the participants.
• Any BTC that is left over (because the package wasn't checked, the BTC value went up, etc) will be evenly distributed between the participants.
• If we are somehow short of BTC, I'll cover it up front. The amount of BTC will be evenly distributed between participants. Your package won't be sent if you don't pay your part of the debt. If you don't pay at all, your Kialara will be auctioned off to cover the cost and any leftovers are kept.
• Terms can be changed at any moment, so please keep track of them (important announcement will be posted in the thread).

Another question regarding the fees:
So in total I would have to pay 99$ for the coin + 20$ VAT + 11€ for shipping, right? May I pay in advance?(before I use all of my coins into other stuff like gambling, games etc :P)

No sorry, I don't do advance payments. It makes it unnecessarily complicated for me.

They can be funded any time after you receive it. Kialara's cannot be pre-funded by the creator.

Once that it is done, I'll contact Max, pay for the Kialara's and get them shipped to me. Once they arrive, I'll reship them to everyone.

It seems that I haven't kept my promise and I would like to apologize for that. Please know that a coin from this group buy is bit more expensive because of taxes and the 2% buffer that I use. I'm really sorry about that.

I've been trying to convince the authorities that they should see Kialara's as an art piece and charge only 8% instead of 21%, but they still haven't replied to my letter with all the evidence. It might happen that they don't check the package, which would mean that we don't have to pay the 21% tax fees, but I can't promise that. Just know that all the leftovers will be distributed fairly and that I'll do what I can for this group buy.

I have some amazing news! I received a letter today from PostNL, in which they state that I've paid too much VAT during my previous group buy (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1084109.0). This is awesome, because I now have a way to proof that we should only pay 6% VAT and not 21%.

However, I will not return the difference between 6% and 21% just yet, as I don't want to take any risks. It would suck if I got the package and it was charged with 21% VAT any. I wouldn't have the money to pay for it.

He has been online multiple times today.
I have PMed about buying a 1BTC Kialara and he responded immediately with his payment address yesterday.
Then I sent him the payment confirmation along with this question through PM. Didn't respond afterwards :/

Well.. The package was extremely fast. It has arrived in Amsterdam. I'm guessing it will arrive on Monday (and not tomorrow) because the customs haven't checked the package yet.

Anyway, I should have the coins and be able to ship them next week (if all goes according to plan).

My package is waiting for customs clearance as well. You can contact PostNL for a Dutch tracking code. That way you can check how many VAT's you have to pay before the package is delivered.

There is no need to contact them, because, as soon as PostNL processes it, you can use the original tracking code in the PostNL tracking system. I noticed that during the last group buy. ;D

Yes I do! The total tax is €92.20 and the package has been registered with PostNL, but they haven't received it yet (from the customs I assume).

By the way, TheNewAnon135246, I was right. I haven't had time to call PostNL today (business hours and all that) and I just entered my tracking code on internationalparceltracking.com, which gave me the 3S code. ;D

Alright, the package has been delivered to my local post office, but I can't pick it up till tomorrow 1PM. This will be a problem, as I won't be home till Sunday evening, so the earliest I can ship the Kialara's are Monday evening (if I'm quick, as I'm done at work at 5PM and the postal office closes at 6PM) or Tuesday morning (before going to work).

I'll try and ask someone to pick up the Kialara's over the weekend, but I cannot promise anything (because, officially, only I can sign for the package). I'm sorry guys, I guess we all need to wait a few more days.

EDIT: I did cycle to my local post office (at 5:45PM) to see if I can pick it up anyway, but I couldn't. It sucks.

Don't worry you made all that you can to avoid delays, i think that i can wait one or two more days  ;) , if you ship monday or  on tuesday morning i think that i could receive it on friday. I will have the weekend to make photos of them and publish it here.

If anyone wants a nice case for their Kialara, you/I could order these (http://www.aliexpress.com/item//32348391746.html). I'm not sure how good their quality is as I've yet to receive them (ordered them today), but if they are a copy of the Lindner Eco (http://www.lindner-original.de/en/nimbus-eco-schwarz-8458.html) ones, they must be pretty good. ;D

EDIT: I'll pickup the package on Monday and I'll ship the Kialara's as soon as possible. I'll PM everyone for their address and with the question if they want me to hold onto their coin (in case they're participating in any of my other group buys).

Hi Mitchell, I sent you the address on pm. These cases looks nice but i bought the original nimbus cases on lindner website some days ago. Write your opinion about this cheap cases when you receive it, at this price will be really interesting.

I've received your address and I'll definitely report back on those cases!

The cases work really well for coins but the Kialara is slightly too big. It fits, but the frame won't close properly. I think there are slightly bigger ones available on Aliexpress (of you are looking to store Kialaras).

I bought the 11 x 11 x 2 cm version which has a space of 9.5 x 9.5 x 2 centimeter on the inside, which should be able to hold at least the latest Kialara. That version is 3.6 x 2.2 x 0.3 inch (so 9.15 x 5.59 x 0.77 centimeter, everything rounded up), so it should fit.

If it isn't able to hold the Kialara's then the given dimension are incorrect and I'll ask for a refund. ;D

I think the thickness of the kialaras stretch the plastic layers that much, that if you try to close it, the plastic will brake. But maybe you could put the kialara in diagonally?

Mitchell, I see you are using a black frame for your kialara right now, mind sharing the dimensions?

The Kialara is only 0.77cm thick so the plastic shouldn't break I suppose. Guess I'll find out when I receive the frames. ;D

The black frame that I use right now is a Lindner Nimbus Eco (http://www.lindner-original.de/en/nimbus-eco-schwarz-8458.html) and it's dimensions are 10 X 10 X 2.4 cm.

It won't break the membrane. Mine closes but it won't stay locked because there is just a little too much tension on the membrane. A bigger one will easily hold the Kialara :).

Alright! I have picked up the package and I'm currently in the process of sorting all the items and putting them in the right envelop. These bad boys will be posted today, but won't ship till tomorrow (because it's past 6PM).

EDIT: Max wrapped the Kialara's in a shitload of blue tape so some Kialara's outer sleeves will be a bit torn up.


EDIT2: It seems that every Kialara is wrapped in two outer sleeves. Man, Max knows how to pack his items!

EDIT3: The Kialara signatures are A LOT heavier than the normal Kialara's. I hope I can ship all these Kialara's for the prices stated in the OP :-x

EDIT4: Sorry Raimonn, I can't match your Signature Kialara's. I have 1 #56 Ricky Allman and no #56 Julia Tourianski (only 57, 58, 59 and 60).

EDIT5: Shit. Raimonn, your package is too big and it has to be sent as a package.

EDIT6: Raimonn and Lairew, you both received two screwdrivers, because you bought purchases two Signature's, but I only sent one to save space. If this is a problem, let me know and I'll ship the other screwdriver as well.

Alright. I've just dropped off all the packages at a local post office. This one couldn't ship them as letters though, so everyone had to pay 13 euros for shipping instead of the prices quoted in the OP. As I made the call on this I'll take the hit and pay for this decision from my own pocket. Raimonn this does not include you as your package was to heavy to be sent as a letter anyway.

I'll send everyone their track and trace code right now.

The kialaras arrived safely after having some problems with the pickup-box in my local post office. The box had some sort of error and therefore couldn't open my box, where my kialaras were stored.
So we needed to brake it open in order to get my kialaras ;D

I've received my Chinese Lindner Eco clones today and the Kialara fits. Barely, but it fits and it looks amazing. It's also very flexible, which is sweet! ;D
