Title: [Pretty well closed] WTB 5970 or 5870 or 6950 or 7970
Post by: underminer on December 07, 2012, 03:20:31 AM
Looking to buy a 5970 video card, other cards considered I guess-I am not too picky on anything except looking for air cooling and high mhs at a good price.  Thanks.

**edit**

No terribly exciting offers made so far, using my current total BTC to buy a laptop, but PayPal is still an option for a good deal, should one arise!

Still looking.  Not interested in paying over $200 for one 5970, I think, but may be interested in other cards like a pair of 5870 or...?

**edit** card name typo

I have several pristine 5970's still in my farm.  All of them are only 12-15 months old.

Would have to do better than $200 though.

I don't think it's too impossible a number, so still not willing to pay over what I said yesterday.

If we can also use PayPal for part, interested in more cards.  I wouldn't mind another matched pair of 5870 or a pair 7970 if you have them.  Let me know.

Got one of these. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102883
Sapphire 5870 non-ref. 1.05v is the lowest voltage it'll go, and run about 860MHz core at that voltage and do about 399 mhash at those speeds. Stock volts is 1.2v, not sure what it'll peak for mining, but it's game stable at 890 core. I recently cleaned it up really good; No dust at all, fresh paste, fan oiled up, good to go. Card only.
5870 buy-it-nows on ebay are about $130, $140, etc. I could let it go for $120 shipped to US48. You pay any shipping over $10 if you are not part of US48.

I can take Bitcoins, Moneypak, Dwolla, Popmoney, Serve, Chase Quickpay, Cash in the mail, maybe others. Kinda sketchy about Paypal. Can anyone vouch for your legitimacy if you really need to use paypal?

I value 5870 at $100 or less, not so sure on the 6950.  But, probably not going to swing $140 or so when 5970 are available for $200 + shipping in another thread.

Don't like paypal?  No problem, I have about $230 in coins right now available.  But I won't be sending anybody cash in the mail.  :)

Probably my thread you are talking about.

I can do $211.35 for a 5970 never used for mining/gaming as it was recently refurbished by XFX for a warranty exchange -> even more 'pristine' than yochdog's cards :D. This includes shipping to the Lower 48, since a medium USPS flat rate box is $11.35.

I have 8 7970's - all Sapphire so can easily do a matched pair.  Have original boxes and all goodies.  They have been well cooled, fan never above 60% and temps never over 70C.
