Title: Bitcoin related life
Post by: gravitate on December 22, 2015, 08:19:54 PM
God damn I love crypto but I hate it. When I first started I was making physical coins to sell, making a new crypto currency to help the world.... Gees doing everything with no money spared. Right now as I speak I am no better off than when I started in the slightest including savings... The only thing I made a profit from was selling Physical Bitcoins (this is more of a working hobby anyway) and the physical bitcoin thing will continue as its really great in many levels. I would say that if I spend 1 bitcoin on physical crypto coins that after a lot of hard work I am lucky go profit by 10-15%. It sounds bad but I actually enjoy doing it so its not that bad. ANyway over the last 3 years I have invested in THIS plan and THAT plan and always lost out?!?! I lost out in the way that if I weighed up what I was losing because of recomendation compared to the 15% profit I was making with physical coins I was becoming ILL in the head.

I have one main question which I personally effects many people:

WHY THE FUCK ARE THERE SO MANY SCAMMERS OUT THERE

AND WHY THE FUCK CANT WE STOMP THOSE MOTHER FUCKERS OUT???????

Well, as much as we may all mutually hate scammers and con artists, the thing is that we aren't really able to do anything about it legally. If they play their cards right, they can work within the law and still scam people, only if they break the law can something be done.

Scammers do not have an interest in actually working for their money, they are far more happy just pinching the dollars or coins earned by other people. This is also why reputation is a huge matter in the Bitcoin economy, and the digital economy in general.

Scammers are found in every type of activity so because of this worry is useless. Just need a more careful approach to the selection and critical towards the promises. And should diversify investments in different projects

lesson one
dont invest or hand money to someone you cant physically slap across the head with a wet fish if they wrong you.
by this i mean, if you dont know atleast their real name and home address.. stay away

if you ask but they do not tell.. alarm bells should ring
if you dont ask, then you have personally done nothing to protect yourself
if you ask and they did tell, but you havnt taken them to court. then you are doing nothing.

its the exact same thing with fiat. if your just handing money to random people walking the street hoping they contact you in a few months to hand funds back, without you knowing a thing about them, or if you do know everything. but not doing anything to force their hand.. then you should just accept that you will always lose and move on.

Use escrow, and only send first if the guy is extremely trusted and all your problems will be gone ;)

We need more Vods and Quicksellers(Without the bogus escrow part) around here and all will be solved.

there are always scammers in the world, in every field and every community, we can not avoid them, or even prevent them, but we can learn from them, that we should be more cautious in the transaction, if you love crypto you, and dear your money, then you should use the escrow and be careful by make transactions that are not too much.

Firstly, this is the internet. Secondly, you are playing with cryptocurrency. Those who use cryptocurrency is very tech savvy and they know how to hide they identity online. Hence, they try to scam others. There is no way to stop them but the best thing we can do is to ignore them and dont become a victim of them. I wish to see you getting some profit in 2016. Dont give up. Continue. One day your business could be the next big thing. :).

I think it's got worse over the last century, and there are probably a lot of reasons for that. The lack of morality probably comes from a move away from religion, and bad example from the top. The worst scammers are the banks, the government, and many in public life. There is also a major drop in the standards of most people. When I ws a kid, you took a pride in yourself and your environment - this semms to have gone. The welfare state sems to have created scammers and scammer communities, people expect to have a comfortable living without working.

Remember, if you have to steal or scam, it's an admission of personal failure. It means you aren't good enough to pay you way in life honestly.

i half agree with your sentiment. lots of people want something for nothing. but you will find the poorest of the poor will work harder for less..
take for instance the bitcoin community.
many people spend 12 hours a day raiding faucets or doing sig campaigns just to get $15 a week
while the famous people like the bitcoin foundation syphon off many thousands just for a 2 hour conference speach.

more funds end up in bankers back pockets from government taxes, than ends up in back pockets of people on welfare.

its not welfare that is causing a 'something for nothing' culture. its the fact that the rich get paid to be at a conference while the poor have to pay just to be let in.
making some people feel they are getting a bad deal.

i would blame the ethics of the greedy rich, who want to maintain a high class lifestyle far before blaming someone with just $15 in their bank account.

afterall with america spending $650BILLION on defense per year. they could easily buy 650billion tins of food, medication, etc and bribe an opposing country into peace. but instead use the funds to pay $1mill+ salaries and expenses for thousands of project managers.

after all mark kerpeles didnt have $15 to his name. he was getting thousands a day in fee's alone.. when doing it legit.. but even that wasnt enough

It is easier for a scammer to scam people out of their hard earned money, than going out there and working 8 to 10 hours a day earning it through hard work. They have much more

time to think of ways to scam people, where most of us are occupied with stressful working conditions. You will always find them in every community... Bitcoin is not unique in that

regard. Bitcoin as a currency, just makes it easier, because it's global and not that easy to be traced. Just report all the bad sites here --> http://www.badbitcoin.org/

Scammers are everywhere these days. You just have to be smart about what you do, and you won't lose any of your money.

These good guys have limited time to spend. The only way to deter scam is to use escrow. Never trust anybody.

Scammers are here because you want to be scammed. To keep your money you have set clear rules.

1. Don't trade with anyone without escrow.
2. Don't invest in projects too good to be true it is most likely something scammy.
3. Don't use services you are not absolutely sure are legit.

When there is money to be made, there are always people that find a way to benefit at the expense of others.

Using common sense may help you from falling for the very obvious scams, but some are really extensive.

Just remember, if it sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

You can do nothing against the scammers. They are born in this way. It is everything in their genes. Even in the life they had but basically is a "quality" becoming from the genes. As most of the other qualities everyone of us have. You like to do that you do. You feel good in doing that job. Because your are build within yourself to feel good doing that kind of thing. The same with the scammers. They feel good only when scam the others. Cannot be made nothing else except capture them and beat publicly telling in the same time even the reason of your action. Then send at the prison and forget about them in order that die there. Maybe i am very outrageous in telling these words but I really believe that this must the behavior with all this kind of people (not only the scammers but all the family of the bad people) because are able to ruin innocent life or sweated wealth.

Really its true. If we should think much about the scammers. They don't know any other jobs, it is their life to scam and earn from others money. because they don't have good brain to earn the way all the human being is earning through the right ways. we need to be very careful for all these things act accordingly. and here in bitcoins world there are many master and good & bad people too.

Words that will make your life in bitcoin a hell of a lot easier. Live by those simple set of rules and you will make it through this without being a victim of a con artist.

I really dont get scammers. Seems like half the time these morons spend more time and energy trying
to scam than they would just getting a job.

Well, scams existed even before bitcoins.People used to get scammed over internet or credit card flaws even before bitcoin came into the picture.Only thing that can stop scams is social awareness and self help with possible knowledge of how to not get scammed. There is not much anyone can do to help someone if they're not smart enough .
