What do you think will happen? Bitcoin will rise or not? :)

I can tell you for sure that the price will rise few weeks before the halving and after the halving block reward as-well (which will be in july) however I can't say much about what's going to happen from January till June and I don't think anyone could tell you.

Do you think it will rise above $450 ? Now it seems to be stuck at $440 for a while.

If you are speaking after the halving then yes definitely It will be above that and It may even reach more then 1200$ according to some experts (you can see my topic on the Speculation section) .

Yup now it has more positive bullish signs with so many experts reports are indicating 2016 will make boom into price will take it more higher level so that i would like to say it will rise for sure.

I think Bitcoin will rise in 2016. It won't rise much though, by summer it will rise 20-25% from today's price and then stabilizes at around $500. We all want it rise more than that but let's be realistic, the fair price for Bitcoion in 2016 is $500.

It will do the same thing that it does every year.  It will fall around Feb and then stabalize for the year.  Around Sept there will nudges up and down, more up than down and the year will end around 170% of the mid year price.

just few days, like it was at 380 and then at 30 and then at 300, do not panic for such swings

the increase in 2016 is almost certain, i can argue that is already happening in advance with this year

Sounds realistic and very true Bitcoin will reach $500 in 2016 but let's hope it gets stability and should not drop down below $450 even in worst situation, some people says BTC will reach $1000 and few says it will drop down to $50 but $500 will be stable.

It is quite difficult to predict exactly what will happen but there is lots of chance for price to get doubled before halving thats why you may also see traders are holding coin for now.

This is pure speculation... We do not have a crystal ball, where we can look into the future and say that with 100% certainty. A lot can happen before the "Halving" and it could push

the price much lower, and the possible increase of the price after the "Halving" could be neutralized. When we make predictions like these, we have to stipulate that it is "pure"

speculation. You do not want to have to explain to people, why they lost their life savings, due to decisions being made, based on speculation on this forum.  ::)

I think this should be in the speculation thread but I'm expecting a bit of a drop then some sideways and then before the halfing a rise.

Most people think the price will increase due to the comming block halving, I think so too. Just wait and keep holding your coins, that's the best thing you can do. Also, don't think in terms of $2000-$3000 as some people do. That's just not realistic to happen within 2016.

It will lose field for LTC in the frist 3 months but then BTC will start to get it back bacause of the halving expectation.

Well, the only certainty we have is that halving will occur, if the price will adjust itself is still something that has yet to be seen.

I m fairly confident it ll reach $1k before halving. After that, it all depends on the press and Wall Street.

Of course it will rise, I spec that it will go to 1000 dollars in 2016.
I think when halving is over the price will just rice even more. We will just see what well happen at the end.

Everything is looking fantastic. We are making progress and consensus is being built in how to scale the system. Spare the random XT trolls and people obsessed with huge blocks, most people seem to be coming together into a better way to do this without centralizing nodes. 2016 is probably the bulliest year ever for Bitcoin.

Let's hope there won't be any more Mt.gox type of events, even if on a smaller scale to damage the bitcoin market in 2016 which might have an impact on the price and also reputation of the cryptocurrency

im pretty sure that the bitcoin will rise a lot next year mainly because of the halving event that will happen soon this will surely pump the price up as people will start buying coins before it like crazy i hope im right about it as the price rise would give me a lot of money in my opinion

There will surely be lots of action for bitcoin on 2016 because of halving. We are hoping that the price will go to the moon, but a steady climb to 700 to 800 range till end of 2016 is good for me.

You never know, maybe the rise is normal trading/user adoption. I hope so but its bitcoin.

I think it will go down in jan. 2016,
because of the difficulties increasing.
but it will really rise before the halving even happen.
just not so sure how much or how high will it increase.

Well I wouldn't say its going to go down, due to the laws of supply and demand. Either the halving forces out some smaller miners and lets the large miners take more from each block, or everyone keeps rolling with their mining and we see a rise as most miners compensate for the reduced revenue.

I would expect a rise to ~$480 after the halving, probably within the first 3 months of 2016.

Any of previous halvings did not bring price increase (we had alredy litecoin and bitcoin halving in the past) instead price after each halving went significantly down.
What makes you think this time would be any different?

Of course bitcoin will rise in 2016. I am pretty confident that next year bitcoin will reach a new ATH.
I am excited to see this happen. I believe the new resistance next year will be between $650 - $800.

If the block size debacle can be resolved, bitcoin has the chance to rise greatly.  I'm not sure if it will without the increasing of the block size.  This is very important.

Yeah, price of bitcoins is increasing on daily basis and that is the best sign for the bitcoins users as it has increased to a maximum in past few months and it is predicted that the value of bitcoins would reach to $1000 in the year 2016 and it would be the dream come true who are already into bitcoins, And honestly I am waiting for that day that it reaches there so I could sell some of my coins and make profits out of it.

I think there is a decent chance we can see +1k by the end of the year. The only thing that will stop it is another big sell-off by people who think 1k is the peak

I doubt we would double top on ATHs so then you are looking way higher, i think that expect pick of $4.4k looks good to me although i see it in 2016.

That would be interesting to see.  That would mean that the miners would be making more then than today even with the halving.

Take in considerations unforseen events that might occure concerning bitcoin like huge scams, government pressure and the evil media that works for said government.  In most cases when don't see or hear the earthquake until it happens...

Ecerybody want to know this,of course they also wondering about that,so i am. And after read aomw article about what happen with bitcoin price on 2016,i will say that bitcoin price will raise up at least until $1200,its caused two reason,first. Much more people use and adopt bitcoin,and the second is becauae bitcoin halving gonna happen.

A lot of people are banking on the block reward halving to drive up prices.
That may be incorporated in bitcoin's price already.  :)
