China has the largest workforce in the world, as well as the worlds largest army of over 100 million.
A large workforce means plenty of cheap labour, which in affect produces a vast array of exportable goods to every corner of the globe.

Their population is their biggest asset and no other country dare to oppose them as they can move markets just like what they can do on BTC market. They can also greatly affect economies so everything seems to be under their control. Can't say much regarding quality though, just Population as the first word to come out of your mind if you think of China.

Now one thing i am against is this,,i have noticed the top notch goods from China with class A label go to developed countries like America,UK,Canada etc and the less than perfect goods are sold at discounted prices to third world countries, African countries, Brazil, Cambodia, Pakistan etc.

Online business have shook China's market sky high, especially with online services such as Alibaba.com, Aliexpress, just to name a few. With such a huge industrial responsibility to the world, its no wonder China's skies are poluted with chemicals and gases.

With so much being made in China, it is hard to avoid buying things from there but one item I refuse to buy are Chinese built guitars. I'm a guitarist and it is amazing the amount of counterfeiting going on over there, you can go to various sites like alibaba and order knock-offs for a third of the price but the quality is just atrocious, the quality of the legit guitars outsourced there by companies like Jackson, Epiphone, and Dean just to name a few is getting better but still pales in comparison to anything coming out of South Korea, Mexico, or Japan.

I think each of us would find products made in China in their home. Chinese quality isn't that bad, they're getting a bad name because of all the fake stuff they're making.

Title: Re: MADE IN CHINA
Post by: Lenore on February 06, 2016, 06:08:01 AM
never really said they were bad.  However there are many out there product wise that are.  Look at those hover scooters.  The original ones have high amp protected batteries.  Seems the china ripoffs are made using less then on par lipo batteries.  If any of you know anthing about Lithium batteries lipo batts are some of the most dangerous batteries.  They fail more then any other battery and when they do it usually isnt pretty.

Anyways, yes they are good at making alot of things but their are other items that are just plain cheap.  Not only that things that us people here in the US consider safe are not always from China as they do not have the regulations that we do here.  Makes a load of toys and other items not on par with our standards. The only thing i like from china are electronics.  Anything else not so much.  Most things even feel cheap.  If we can get them to higher their standards they would have really good products.   However with everything being shipped in it loses Americans and shit ton of money as we arent being paid to make it.  Instead we are paying another country.  I would pay double for anything made in the US compared to that of China.

hope this made some sense tired as hell and dont know half the stuff i typed.  lol

Most stuff nowadays are MADE IN CHINA especially our smartphones. They have so much control nowadays in manufacturing industry that despite of the 'poor quality' they produced on some cases, the consumers doesn't have much choice but to pick an alternative which is also made in China.

I'm planning on buying a Chinese smartphone. It's surprising how much FUD about those there is. People willl tell you that for them to achieve such low prices there must be slave labor involved but in reality the work conditions in lines of productions for tech are very good. Truth of the matter is that all tech companies have at least some of their parts manufactures in china but they aren't really obligated to reveal that for each individual part. Here's a picture from Elephone (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMq2_txQSkE)'s (Chinese smartphone company) production line.

Most antiques from china arent worth anything.

It is the ones from Japan.  Specifically Occupied Japan.  If you resell items Always look for a Japan Stamp.  Never China.  Only certain pieces are made in China that are worth anything.  I always streer clear of china antiques.  Never make any money.

Yea, and that is why everything nowadays has made in China on it. Cause it's a lot cheaper working with China and their manual laboring factories than to work with machineries and automated equipments. Even the prime ones like Apple and their iPhones etc, i believe now are being assembled in China.

Well if Trump gets in the White House things will change for the China markets.  He plans to stop most trade and make deals that will restrict relations with china markets.  I am all for it.

Ill stick to my android phone.  Screw Apple.  I can not believe what some people pay for their Iphones.  Some get deals others dont.  But when you have to pay 800 for a phone.  I dont think so.  Ill spend 150 and do more then the IPhone can.  Unless some of you like spending and extra 650 for Siri.

Look at the Microsoft Surface Tab. I looked at one once and said for get that.  I can buy a car for what they want for one.  I see why MS stopped making windows.  They went into the hardware market and are making more.

These guys make these for way cheaper over seas and still rape Americans with prices.  Their is hardware out there that does the exact same and is a fraction of the price.

Apple put a memory card slot in their phones yet?

I am all for it.

Difference is all business is there in China.  Which means we lose jobs here in America.   You guys over their in China will work for what $1 a hour.  Here not so much.  China wants us to buy their stuff that is made their. But if we do not make any money we cant pay for the goods.

Big difference in where it is made is China has 90% of the market.  Not the other 10% like other counties do.  and that 90% may be even higher.

Loads of manufacturing plants have closed because you Chinese people work for nothing because other american company owners dont want to pay Americans for their work.

I say put a 40% tax on imports that companies have to pay.  Once they see people cant afford them after the price hike they would be forced back in the US.

With globalization, it is not always clear where the product was made. The raw material may be from south america, the product designed in the usa, assembled in china, then packaged in the philippines. That's why the current economic downturn is also global.

I keep wondering when U.S. companies are going to wise up and start in reinvesting the United States, which used to be the envy of the world when it came to high-quality manufacturing. I'm not holding my breath though, because while U.S. executives are busy examining their own polyps, Chinese executives are laughing all the way to the bank, which BTW they now own.
