Everyone thought it'd make a 700 dollar mark because people tend to buy things during this season.

No one actually thought it will go to 700$. Actually you are trolling.
Most people thought of going upto 500-550$ but not more which was really unexpected.
Still holiday season is not finished.
Cant say anything. Anytime the price keeps changing.

Once December had started and seeing as to how bitcoin has progressed these last couple of months, I didn't think that bitcoin would reach over $500.
I do think that bitcoin is able to reach $700 some time around next year.

I've made some pretty insubstantial threads in my day, so I can relate to this. Mistakes are how we learn. :)

I did not expect that really. People want to buy things, but they want to do so without being too costly. If bitcoin goes up too much, it ceases to be a good way of buying things cheap.

That is a lot what happened, raised a bit (people buying bitcoin perhaps to get some discounts) but not a lot (people stopped buying bitcoin when the discount did not compensate).

Everyone? Not really.. Some users think it can reach $500 others $600 or more while others whine all the time about bitcoin will return to $50. I can feel the depression of the ones who said the price will drop below $350...

Yeah i see the price still fighting and today and tommorow is the rise of bitcoins.
But for me i think this is not the right time to buy so there will be no buyers out there unless if someone selling bitcoins for cheap price...

It didn't even hit 500.

Barely went up? It doubled... Probably the best performing asset in the world over the last two months.

It's been that way all winter long. Yeah 6 months ago it was 200 but that's not significant at all and it'll just drop.

It's always guessing what will happen it raised a bit but not that hard people thought at first.

Gee whi$$, Mr. Gr88k, I never predicted $700.  I think my prediction (worthless as any here) was $500 by next month, and it's on some thread that's long since been buried.  Have a rotten holiday, sir.

Only dreamers where saying/hoping the price to reach $700. We must be more than happy with the current price. It's like a gift after staying such a long time below $250. I don't mind seeing the price stay at $450 for another month.

Sorry but who thought this really to happen?
Most of us where of the opinion that during the holidays and the rest of the month Bitcoin will be around the actal price range or below that.
Today we are 2,6 percent up. I guess the majority here is happy.

What's the point of this sad troll attempt? I don't understand some users who have plenty of activity, what are you doing here? Anyway, it did go up in the recent weeks, not sure where did you get those $700 numbers though.

"Everyone" proves you are a troll. Also there's 0 logic in thinking the price would go up because people sell. Most people still sell for cash to buy stuff so the price go down if anything. Anyway, let's see if you are still FUDing in 6 months, that'll be fun.

Your impatience and rash thinking show how desperate you are to wash off that idea, while I can almost smell the dump crying out to happen after the price rises to 470$ - 500$.

We did see an increase in price though, if we see this pace every year around this time no doubt we will be at 800-900 next year.

I have never seen a thread where people have predicted that price will go beyond 700 in this holiday may be you have misread, they may have said it will be 700 by next year. >:(

I think OP got trolled if he really thought everybody was predicting $700 by Christmas.  I disagree though on 6 months ago the price being $200 is not significant.  I think that's very significant.

There are people here who think it will go to $350K next month.

Price is at equilibrium right now and I don't like it. Neither below 400 so we could buy in, nor above 500 so we could cash out. In any way, it stops me from investing either in coins or other useful items to support my mining efforts (just for fun). If it went up more I'd buy a few more solar panels to 'mine' electricity.   

Maybe thats the problem, As soon as price gets near or above 500 people like you cash out and drop it back down again. Why not just hold for higher?

As long as the price is higher then what I bought in at im happy :). I still think itll be going up alot in the coming year. 2016 will prove to be a very good year for crypto's.

I see it more positively and i am satisfied by the current performance and value of the Bitcoin.It is pretty decent price and majority of people didnt expect that price will go that higher.It is stable and seems stronger than ever in my opinion.

How is that not significant? Let's take a look at the longer term growth of the price over the whole current year, without looking at the large drop to sub $200, and the peak to $500.

Bitstamp price on January 01, was $313.81.
Bitstamp price on December 25, is $453.58.

It shows an increase of over 44%!!!
