Yes it COULD run on linux and i'm sure eventually it will need to. However, at the moment there are still things that need to be fixed and bugs that need to be ironed out. So switching to another system where I could get even more issues will increase my exposure to problems and I want to keep it as simple as possible at the beginning. Nope still looking for about 2 weeks now. Lots and lots of people with linux machines willing to help but no one so far with a windows pc.
