Title: Looking to hire someone to run a node
Post by: oldmaid on December 29, 2015, 11:48:09 PM
Hi I'm looking to hire someone $10 Bitcoin per month to run a node of my new coin. Need to have a windows PC on 24/7 doesn't need a static IP or address. Wifi would work.

I can do this if it doesn't need to be windows. I have an extra linux server running that I can host this on.

It has to be windows right now because that's the only thing I am sure works from my testing.

Unless you are using windows specific stuff, it should work on linux. You are using java and java is supposed to be cross platform. If you have the source code available, I can compile it and test it for linux.

I just need one node at the moment so it's always up and people can see it. Payment would be in Bitcoin.

Yes it COULD run on linux and i'm sure eventually it will need to. However, at the moment there are still things that need to be fixed and bugs that need to be ironed out. So switching to another system where I could get even more issues will increase my exposure to problems and I want to keep it as simple as possible at the beginning.

I have a Windows PC 24/7 365 days up up up up ! ! ! with static IP (it is a desktop PC running Windows 7 x64 especially for POS coins).
If that sounds what you want please let me know 10$ btc/month is ok.

I could do this for 10 USD, but the price for setting it up would be around 0.5 BTC.
For this i will configure the node to your specs and give you root access in a 256 MB VPS.

If you are still looking for this, I can provide you postpay/escrowed hosting of your node, 24/7, on a 500mbps guaranteed port of a Windows machine (probably Server 2012).

$10/mo is fine.
