Till now how much did you loose ?
I lost over 0.3 Bitcoins in gambling and other things.

till now I have more than 0.2BTC. it is actually sometimes painfull to even remember that instance.

Zero. I don't fall for scams or stuff that's too good to be true. Gambling is dumb. I always check and back up addresses.

Theres actually a thread like this somewhere out there already bu i will chime in anyway, i think when i last checked ive got one wallet which i cant access with about 0.4 and lost at least another 0.5 through bad trading. I dont like  to try and add up too much though. i think id rather not know =p

I lost 0.6BTC in Ponzi scheme! Now I alway avoid to any likely Ponzi who claims paying higher than normal return!

Nah! It should be your precious experience, ponzi are clearly a dumb way to earn or double/triple your money,
mostly people wouldn't trust to any ponzi scheme but some people doing that with conscious as gamble .

I lost 2btc to hacked ebay & paypal accounts and i think i lost 0.1 to not having a clue what i was doing back in 2013 messing about with multibit.......

That's sad yeah stay away from them and don't lose bitcoins anymore and now try making more and more Bitcoin as possible because 2016 is gonna be the year of bitcoin

Was the 2 bitcoin from one ebay/paypal account or was that multiple accounts with multiple transactions? thats quite a bit to be scammed off. very annoying im sure.

though i made losses on exchanges, giving up and cashing out is when you truly lose.. i kept at it and turned it into profit.. so technically it was maybe 30btc loss at times, but always swung into profits..

overall im holding more bitcoin than i lost and more bitcoin than..anyone.. had 8 years ago. so im happy

I didn't because of different stuff ... first of all I never gamble , secondly I never get involved into scams and ponzi schemes , I never store my bitcoins on exchange then cry later about the exchange getting hacked and me losing my Bitcoins and most of all I make difference between legit stuff and scams .

only 1 due to scamming, well some other were in hold mode(they were in an altcoin, not in the sense that i bought some but that i mined a shittons and did not converted because i was thinking that the price would hve been better in the future) for to long and we can consider those lost as well

but they were a good amount, around 30, damn...

Then I stopped playing dice since then, but you lost x10 of what I lost, that's really bad... :(

i lose like 15btc when it is quite cheap. the company i invest in loss like 75% of its value and now it is like 1% of its original value which i dont even bother to check anymore. i also loss like 2btc plus in gamble this yr. now i hard have 1 btc left. hai.

The total bitcoin i lost in scams and bogus exchanges is around 12 bitcoins. Could be even more if Allcoins will not give me my coins back.
Frankly the pattern that arised where exchanges scam us, is not changes.

This is not good for bitcoin in general.

Gambling is one where i lost most of my hard earned coins. I have record of lossing 0.10BTC in a single bet by mistake in sports betting, except this i don't count exactly how much but i think it is more than 1 bitcoin in total till now.

I've been long enough to play gambling, so I do not know exactly how much I lost until today. around over 5 btc i lost

In total i lost 1.2 bitcoin total.
it's not much but losing is never 'ok' therefore i am very unhappy about it

The total Bticoin I lost I think it's ranging to 0.4BTC-0.5BTC, I was scammed in investing (HYIP,Ponzi,etc...), gambling/betting and also I tried my luck in trading but nah it's just a waste, No luck at all. Right now, I'm just holding my coins and waiting for the f8ck8n right time  :P

I have never gambled, but lost around BTC30 in a Bitcoin-based investment scheme. I had purchased 30 shares of BTCT-AT (BTC equivalent of Litecoinglobal trading platform) at BTC1 apiece in 2013. Litecoin Global closed down sometime later and my shares became worthless. Right now, my coin holdings are somewhere around BTC5 and BTC7.

I've lost some satoshis which I got from a faucet, on the very first days I discovered BTC, and when I was trying the different clients. I misunderstood how Armory was working, and those satoshis are lost forever. I'm much more cautious now, and I've never gambled.

i cannot remember how much i lost my bitcoin,i lost some bitcoin on scam investment such cloud mining and hyip scheme,also lost my bitcoin because scammed by people,and i never remember how much i lost it,because i think it just make me broken heart :(

I've forgotten, I think 0:03 BTC or maybe more, the time I joined PTC program that promises quite BTC if followed, and was later led scam  :(

I have lost a number of Bitcoin, but I am most bother by the Bitcoin I lost in scam sites.  I was in the marketplace the other day and seen someone selling a script to run a doubling website which included fake transactions.  The transactions were real, but they were not that of the original senders.  Scams just piss me off.

I would say I probably lost somewhere between 2-3 BTC last year. I naively bought 'promising' altcoins and hashlets (cloud mining contracts) in 2014 and lost all of the money I invested  :D I've grown wiser though, no more altcoins/ cloudmining for me  ;D This year I only lost 0.04 BTC ( I used that amount to test one of those scammy sites that offers to convert your Bitcoin to PayPal for a small fee - yea I know  ::) )

This thread make me remember my gambling days .I've been losing so much bitcoins on gambling if i will sum it up maybe it can reach 0.2-0.4 bitcoins that i lost on gambling.Then about 0.05-0.1 bitcoins i lost being scammed by shitty sites and shitty buyers and hackers.But now i learned my lesson and i stop gambling and start investing on trading and mining to recover my lost.

I have lost a lot of bitcoin. especially from gambling games. I lost 0.5 BTC in just one day. it is a very bad day.

From I know bitcoin until now I've lost bitcoin approximately 0.05 its because scam cloudmining and

I lost not a large sum, and in my mind right now. But then, I started totake an interest in Bitcoins, I received a very small amount, and spending a lot of time. I foolishly invested in HYIPs and cloud mining. Total lost 0.009 BTC

A lot probably, but I earned even more so I'm good. I think its not even possible to calculate all coins I lost, there was so many gambling, trading, landing... who can count that? Maybe it would be possible if I started to count from beginning, but I didn't.

But that is not matter, like I said I won much more. That is the point, we need to lose and win..just be smart and win a lot and lose less. Easy to say, hard to do I know but we are all here to learn.

I think I already lost almost 0.15btc. The most memorable and currently the biggest lose of btc in my life is 0.08 from gambling. It was when I start betting all-in my starting amount I think it was 0.002btc in sports betting site in a single game until I earn 0.08btc. Hoping that my luck will continue I still bet my 0.08 in one game and that time luck was not on my side and lose my 0.08btc from 0.002. The other half I lose is from dice sites which I got addicted and thought I can be rich therem

alot i think hundred and thousand. if i join bitcoin in 2007-8. now the situation would something different. i am very sorry i lost thousands of bitcoin since 2007. but still i am glade because i know that in near future i will be able thanking Allah that i joined bitcoin because i am hopeful that i will have a decent amount of bitcoin.

in total it's never lost my bitcoin because I'm always to hold and keep them, to be patience wait until the price is going up...... I think I always loose all of my bitcoin in exchange,
but I'm very happy to hear I lose my bitcoin in exchange. Maybe only a little partially of my bitcoin lose on gambling,but I'm fine with it just thinking to make a more bitcoin become my investation. :)

I think i lost more than 0.2 , ive come many things before i lose that so hard. Iv do gambling, investment and trading. But it makes me more poor

I've lost about ~0.075 BTC only by investing on ponzi. Lost 0.026+BTCby HDD failure. Other than these, i lost few by trading with altcoin.

0.3 Bitcoins is pretty much nothing if you think about it. Just stop while you still can and don't keep on making the same mistakes over and over again. You'll gain that amount back, or at least let it sit there, trust me.

I've lost around 0.5 BTC if you total everything up. Quitting gambling is a good decision to make.

I lost 0.5 btc with easy money strategy.Now I try to recover it with a fibonaci strategy on first goals marked.

That's a huge amount to loose, I used to gamble in the past but I have not lost more then 0.3 btc and after that I stopped playing it, its better to save those coins for future.

I do not think to count amount of my lost during play gambling. So it is not important think that might make me regret that. But maybe the lost about 3 btc total at many different of casino sites.

Not much, I've lost around 0.1- 0.15 BTC. First time I lost my bitcoin was in PTC sites. But, mostly I lost my bitcoin in trading.

Exactly, I have lost 0.2 in gambling and 0.15 in doubler, hoping that my coins will get doubled in next few days, but then I was aware that I have been cheated  >:(

well yeah, its really bad to play for your bitcoins in my opinion and you should not do that if you dont want to lose your money as gambling usually does not give you any profit

Amazing, defeat big enough that you are experiencing. But I think the defeat of that's for sure you've got a much bigger profit from Total loss you get. For if a person has already suffered a heavy defeat surely do gambling with great care and full calculations that eventually they could seize their funds more

i lost 0.2BTC for gambling and hyip that has been scam.  using bitcoin on gambling is a lot way easier than online gambling using real money and you cant barely see how much u put in it because of the conversation you made to satoshi. HYIP my god i lost quarter of my capital because of that. It became scam before your payout releases and you loss everything  >:(

i had lost 0.3 btc from ponzi but was never counting how much btc i have lost in gambling and trading

I never lost a single bitcoin in real life. because I am not doing any kind of gambling and not involve in such other kinds of activities. but some time I think that I have lost a lot of bitcoin. because I wall not familiar with bitcoin in 2007 and 2008. because at that time the rate of bitcoin was such a low. if woul purchase bitcoin at that time I will get so many now. that is what I feel that I lost a lot of bitcoins.

that depends on what you mean with "money lost".
I dont try gambling or scams but im a trader... i do bad trades all time but at the end of the day i'm always(ok.. not always but most of the time) with some profit.

So, if my balance is positive(more wins then loses) i dont count as "money lost".

you have to stop gambling if it is hard for you to lose bitcoin.

i have lost less than 0.01BTC so far in gambling which is mostly from giveaways that i lost.

I know gamble because I know bitcoin. At the first glance, I try to prevent myself to gamble but I can't resist myself so I try to spend my bits on gamble and invest. As I can see many of them offering "delicious" profit that made myself to invest and gamble.
Since I know the risk of them , I never regret for being loss and until now , I've loss about 0.4 !

i can't count it,its hard to remember,when i loss on scam site,its hurt,and sometime i lost my bitcoin from gambling,its more hurts,because in other case i have chance to win bitcoin.

Well, I can't give exact answer.
I don't like gambling or HYIP programs and I don't invest my BTC there.
I invested my BTC funds only in my own project, new online company I'm starting with my business partners.
I hope this project will bring good results but if not, foesn't matter, at least I tried and spend my BTC funds for some concrete and realistic project, not just some simple gambling or another HYIP.
Time will show everything.

Haven't lost much. Around 0.8btc have been lost through the event of gambling. Trying to earn those lost bitcoin but fortunately predictions were going wrong most of the time.

I can't cont all my total lost but i will estimated what i've lost its arpund 9btc or closely 1 btc lost on trading ,HYiPS and gamblings .now im lost with any risk taking money grower.

50 bitcoin I bought in 2010.

I did lose some coin investing in some altcoins. But overal that less then 1 bitcoin. Nothing compared the coins i've made from trading altcoins.
Which means trading is something which earns me some bitcoin. Although it is (can be) very risky if you go into new altcoins.

I have lost my biggest amount of money by investing in altcoins when I was a noob and still didn't knew that most altcoins are scam. I remember I invested on coins like god damned Mazacoin for like 0.2 BTC, everyone was hyping it up and I got caught. That is I think my biggest loss. Since then, I learned the lesson and never lost money in alts again.

That's not losing bitcoins. That's spending bitcoins.

I lost around 0.6btc in gambling before i lost 0.6btc, my lost only 0.4btc because i want get back my lose see what i get.

In total I lost 0.0 BTCitcoins. I don't gamble and I always check sites I enter. Luckily, I didn't lose any BTC in trading yet.

how gambling is not losing bitcoins? i think thats one of the most popular way to lose your bitcoins so i think that a pretty legit way to say that he lost those money

i have lost about a half of the bitcoin though fortunately i decided to stop gambling so i dont lose anything right now and i only hold my bitcoins in order to make some good money

in gambling ive lost and won countless btc lol. but ive only lost around 0.08 due to missing/ corrupted wallets and such. so that not that bad.

Loosing is always painful irrespective of the amount but no issues we need to learn from our mistakes and make sure that we don't repeat again in future.

I lost 0.1 BTC in trading. I panicked and could not maintain patience. and turns the coin back at the pump. it was very unpleasant.

there are people who lost few hundreds thousands USD or millions in BTC. Of course, they don't come on forums for whining :)

I lost 0.3 to Terabox.me ponzi scam in my earnest to get good cloud mining prices. Should have known better. I chalk it up to education fee.

My current progress on gambling is about 0.07 bitcoins loss. I've already recovered my losses last week but the problem was I accidentally clicked the max bet on a gambling site yesterday, and it was really sad because i lose the roll. The site have already a double confirmation in max betting and I don't know what happened, why did I still rolled it  ???.

Maybe around 2+ bitcoins. The biggest lost is from gambling too. That's why i stop and never gamble anymore. It's really reduced my lost in bitcoin.

I can't imagine someone losing a million or millions in bitcoin. From trading or gambling for that matter.

there are many people who lost money and their bitcoin as stolen from their own wallets because in fact if you can provide authentication and verification to log in to all account. no one will be able to break your wallet so it seems like you have to learn from it all and do not repeat the mistake again

I have lost many times in gambling but I haven't experienced my money getting stolen from my wallets as I think its really difficult to steal if you take preventive measures at primary stage.

I don't put BitCoin in places that's high risk, BitCoin is a risk in of itself. No reason to go beyond that.

I dont remember the exact amount but I'd guess its more or less than 2btc now and that is only in gambling. Its not that really hurt coz im only using what i got in my sig not the money that is reserved for important matter.

Not that big yet, just about 0.08 in trading altcoins. What I put into trading, I consider it as a loss. I know the risks involved with trading altcoins so I try not put too much funds into it. What I lose I try to recoup by buying during dips, which is kind of hard to do these past few days, considering how the price has been skyrocketing.

Correction still needs to happen in the near future that may affect alternative coins for the better.

I never lost any bitcoins because of the fact that I always keep them very safe and always keep an eye on them daily plus I have a whole spreadsheet with details and things about my wallets.. so I cannot lose it.

I haven't lose any bitcoin yet. One thing I can stop to lose them. Its a gambling. Just for sake of risk or earning in shortcut and losing bitcoin. Best we can earn it in Signature campaigns if you are well enough to do this. Lets not lose!!

That's good to hear that you have record of your bitcoins and you have self discipline too, and that is the best way as I think no one wants to loose their hard earned coins.

I don't think that i have lost my bitcoins in any way, except Gambling. i also do investment but it is good for me, even i am not earning too much from investment but it never give me lose. But gambling is one way where i have always lose my bitcoins, most of the time, i lost it, may be some i win, and i am not remember it, how much i have lost but near about 1 and half Btc.
