I have an account that i've created in 2010 when bitcointalk.org recently opened. It is one of the first 500 accounts to ever be created on this website, the account has less than 10 post on it. EDIT** I've gotten tons of feedback on this sorry for the lack of detail the account has absolutely 0 post on it so I am unable to find out the potential, the new owner will have a clean start on this extremely rare account. The UID is in the low XXX and the account is within the first 10 member pages under date registered. It is very hard to place a value you on it, so I am going to open it up for bidding at $50

Replied to all, and I've updated the main topic sorry for the lack of detail. The account has a low digit XXX UID number and has absolutely 0 post so the new owner will have a fresh start! I decided to take offers and open this up for bidding I do not have a BIN in mind but I am open to all offers.

If this account has no posts, I do believe that the potential activity is like 14, right?  Same as a brand new account I think, so you wouldn't be able to rank up quickly or anything like that. 

Without any post on the account I can't confirm that, but if you are familiar with how the system works for an old account than you would know better than me  ;) But most of the people i've talked to are looking to buy it because of the rarity of the account. I really wanted to hold onto the account because as the years go by the value of the account goes up but at the end of the day I have bills to pay like everyone else does. Thanks for the clarification!

I'm sorry but what's the point of selling an account with 0 posts? I get that it's one of the first 500 BitcoinTalk accounts but how's that a plus? Am I missing something?

If I'm not wrong OP wants to sell the account based upon its vintage value.

Thank you Rslsrkr couldn't have said it better. This isn't your typically Bitcointalk account auction whereas you are buying an account based off of it's Rank and Post account. The account is being sold as a vintage account due to the nature of when it was registered and how rare the UID is.

Exactly, what's the point really to sell a "vintage" account? No one answered my question, what's the value of an old account with no potencial activity? Maybe I'm missing something here or perhaps the forum will give some kind of bonus in the future for "founding" members?

Well it offers two qualities it was created when bitcoin was a newborn a huge time in history and it has an extremely low UID number. Bitcoin is a billion dollar industry and bitcointalk is the biggest forum for bitcoin. Most people will buy clothes because it is a certain color or style, or buy licenses plates because in some states the lower the number the more its worth. Just one aspect to the equation, I haven't seen account of this nature offered before so it builds and holds a value.

Well I guess there was interest in it after all, the value is all novelty but maybe there could be some potential down the road as it's clearly proved the account is that old. Maybe it can get an "Ancient" member denomination hehe.

That would be nice, hopefully an altcoin will come out where you get coins based off of the age of your account if there isn't one already.
