I don't have it but I don't think it is a scam. AFAIK the only scam debit card is bitplastic. Most other ones (except prepaid visas from polish banks and stuff like that) are legit.

Yes. The escrow could be a scammer and run off with the money. To avoid that you can use multisig escrow. If the escrow and the other guy are both the same person and is a scammer, then they can still run away with your money. So even when using escrow, please be careful and make sure that you can trust the escrow.

I have a Shift card. Seems legit. I have the card, activated it, and it's connected to a specific wallet at Coinbase. I haven't tried using it yet, though. I'll buy a pop or something tomorrow to test it out. I was waiting to do so because I wanted to write a review on it for my website (https://incorporatingbitcoin.com). Since someone is asking about it, maybe that time is now. I'll get back to you.

This is not the only way you can get scammed. You can not communicate the terms of the trade with the escrow effectively which could result in you receiving unfavorable terms that you did not intend on agreeing to. You could trade with someone and not keep very good records and upon a dispute the escrow could side with the other person because of your lack of records/proof
