-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 December 17, 2012. This is another offer that I'm making a) for the fun of it, b) to see what happens, c) to get others to think about making similar offers if it seems like it might work! The Austrian Philharmonic coin is sold by Monex (monex.com) and they quote this coin at a USD $55 premium above gold's spot price. The first of these coins should go fast because it's a clear giveaway. Coin #1 is for sale for 128 Bitcoins. (Less than gold spot price, with free insured shipping to boot!) Each offer is individual and separate for one coin, and includes fully insured Registered Mail shipping to any US address. Each 1 ounce Austrian Philharmonic gold coins for sale is brand new in an unopened mint tube of 10. If a single buyer purchases at least ten coins, they will be shipped in the original unopened mint tube. More about the coin: http://www.monex.com/prods/gold_vienna.html I certify that these coins were acquired through a reputable precious metals dealer. Combined Shipping: For each gold coin purchased that I don't have to ship to a separate buyer because it is combined with something else I'm shipping via Registered Mail, I will include one 1BTC Casascius Coin. Because each address constitutes an individual offer that can only be accepted no more than once, any bitcoins sent to an address belonging to an already-claimed offer will be REFUNDED, not rolled into the next higher offer. To accept this offer, send the correct amount to the offer address of your choice, but first: 1. Please check the address to ensure that that offer has not already been claimed. 2. You must be able to prove you are the owner of the Bitcoin address(es) that sent the payment. Either you need to be able to sign messages with it, or move an arbitrary number of coins sent to it upon request. 3. You must be able to accept Registered Mail at an address in the US. 4. The first person who pay the offer address (as determined by the BlockChain.info first-seen timestamp) is the person to whom I am selling. 5. Each offer is for gold coins at a fixed price. Any payment that is not the correct amount will not be deemed an acceptance of this offer, and will be refunded (assuming it's not penny spam). 6. Each offer unconditionally expires at 18:00 UTC on December 20, 2012 to the extent it is not accepted before then. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.17 (MingW32) iQEcBAEBAgAGBQJQz8JeAAoJEFou6PHxF1ojVMQH/RWKsWX8b6sO3yYxsFZvD2t7 8vaaTH0AXa6m3WLz3dGRWrnmkDqYA43LgcPhtUzdDI+Zcy8SXZ3f8WI/nFNdCbPp hzqts/SIRCK49cDKIm0XTD8PQ+zfN+bDvuqhQiA9viS85GuIU+IIJstNKU2TZ0+d Yjd3875wo1c+PkHohtT+iEkATi2KDHPh1+2HFG/sfwK0YYQdPvlJFSNbU72zFVFj 78PtMIvCnaYSQFp8Ue0FaRS6YOXWqfX2dda42cjR6AjCiaLdpASqMpIM8dv0F9B9 HpcNY9tLXGm48G9XnXE9MXbHdxbHU2+BzwTbYROLYu65or7d/1Fy94B176t4vew= =p5Nf -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Title: Re: [Selling] Twenty 1oz Gold Coins, Some Below Spot - EXPERIMENT! [10/20 sold] Post by: casascius on December 18, 2012, 06:33:58 AM I assume the more BTC price drops, the more attractive the price will be on the remaining ones. Perhaps they'll all be gone in the middle of the night.
Haven't heard from the winner(s) yet... but I'm headed off to bed so... tomorrow. Title: Re: [Selling] Twenty 1oz Gold Coins, Some Below Spot - EXPERIMENT! [10/20 sold] Post by: 2weiX on December 18, 2012, 06:56:53 AM yeah, the US part kinda ruins it.
Title: Re: [Selling] Twenty 1oz Gold Coins, Some Below Spot - EXPERIMENT! [10/20 sold] Post by: casascius on December 18, 2012, 06:03:37 PM The US part mainly equates to not wanting any responsibility for safe delivery beyond what I can guarantee by purchasing the Registered Mail service, since by shipping Registered Mail, my worst case liability is having to fill out the claim paperwork to claim on the insurance. I don't want to be party to a dispute where someone didn't get their coin, even if it's not my fault and I know I sent it. I'd be more flexible under terms where the buyer explicitly disclaims my responsibility beyond proof of mailing, but that makes mytake-it-or-leave-it-style offer experiment more complicated than I'd like.
There's a lot of things I'm able and willing to do beyond just US shipping, but didn't want to make it part of this strongly-defined offer. I'd entertain a substantially similar offer privately with more flexibility. My PGP key is at https://casascius.com/pgp |
