If a merchant has zero fees, then he will have a wider spread. Check the conversion rate that you are offered.

You can also use BitPay or integrate Electrum on a website of yours. BitPay is free up to certain point and Electrum is completely free.

Don't ask questions that can be answered with a very simple google search (https://www.google.ba/search?q=bitcoin+electrum&oq=bitcoin+electrum&aqs=chrome..69i57.7072j0j1&sourceid=chrome&es_sm=93&ie=UTF-8). Quite redundant.

If it's free, the revenue is either the user itself or there simply isn't anything to pay for. Lauda has already directed you in a correct way. I'd also advise you to read the Electrum Documentation :)
