Title: 2.2Mhash/s - Is this normal?! Post by: LOLMoney on June 07, 2011, 07:48:47 PM I have a AMD 3.0Ghz Quad core processor, GeForce 8500GT, and 4 gigs of ddr2 RAM. I am using GUIMiner and deepbit as my pool. The max I am seeing is 2.2Mhash/s using my GeForce as the device.
This seems really low to me, even though it's an old card. Is this what I should expect? Any suggestions to increase this and get more bang out of what I have? Thanks! 8500GT isn't listed but an 8600GT gets 5.5 Mhash/s so sounds like it could be right. Title: Re: 2.2Mhash/s - Is this normal?! Post by: LegitBit on June 07, 2011, 07:52:11 PM You should be able to get 4MH's out of the amd. Try using Ufasoft's miner.
The 8500GT barely does CUDA.. may not even at all. Title: Re: 2.2Mhash/s - Is this normal?! Post by: LOLMoney on June 07, 2011, 08:09:27 PM Thanks for the advice, I figured as much :-\
Also, thanks for the advice on the other miner, it works a lot better. ;D |
