Title: network traffic in bitcoin core
Post by: Jet Cash on January 04, 2016, 08:22:13 AM
I've got a mass of red in the traffic analysis for bitcoin core. Is that all from my good deeds in supporting the bitcoin network, or is some of it from other progs running on my computer?

You just said it's from Bitcoin Core , how it can be from other programmes running on your computer :o It make no sense .
It's logical though since you are running a full node (so yeah probably from the good deeds)

Well it's the traffic analysis page in the help section of Bitcoin core. It just says "traffic analysis", and it doesn't specify that it is only from the core calls. I was just checking to see if it was an analysis of computer traffic, or from the comms module in the core program.

It should be for Bitcoin Core and bitcoin core only otherwise it wouldn't make much sense to make such a thing .

Well I agrtee with that. Unfortunately I've been caught out in the past by assuming that utilities are "sensible". :)
