Title: A Accumulation / Distribution Analysis Thread
Post by: myself on December 19, 2012, 02:39:33 PM
1 this is a indicator not a oscillator
2 its value depend on how many data points you load on a chart
3 copy paste formula
Quote
If Close n > Close n-1
Then:
AD = AD n-1 + [Close – MIN (LOW, Close n-1)]
If Close n < Close n-1
Then:
AD = AD n-1 + [Close – MAX (HIGH, Close n-)]
If Close = Close n-1
Then:
AD = AD n-1
4 convergence
++if price up and the slope goes up
++if price goes down and the slope goes down
5 divergence
++if price goes up and slope go down
++if price goes down and the price go up
6 what means if the slope goes down ?
there is selling pressure
7 what means if the slope goes up ?
buying pressure

I'm wondering about one thing. This calculation relies on the high, low, and closing prices. But in my thread here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=133571.0) we see that mixed currency trades have pushed the Mt Gox high above the true USD high. In fact at the moment the high is indicated at 13.6499 even though no USD trade was made at that price. Does this have a significant effect on this chart? Or do these incorrect highs get averaged out?

what did the above post  say ?
a/d needs to pick up with the trend, is not a divergence but is not so bullish like the price this can point out that this rally can be short if bull dont have the sufficient ammo
