I'm really not sure since I don't have much knowledge in this area , but according to OP you can edit this

I've used the relatively new guncoin as my practice coin for this video but obviously this could easily be modified for any scrypt based altcoin, or quark, etc

and the last post on the thread (first page) :

Thanks for the videos.  It took a bit of coaxing, but I got bitcoin to work on it.  I just saw that you updated it for the changes in MPOS.  That was a pain to figure out why I couldn't get to it.  Still not sure about the stats showing in MPOS, but at least it seems to be working.  I've also got an eliopool working.  Any chance of being able to integrate MPOS as the front end for it?

I could easily make you one for $60 in Bitcoin.

Most of the tutorials are outdated, and are extremely confusing.

I will have it up and running in 48 hours maximum if the blockchain downloads fast.

Hosting can be in West Coast, USA - Central, USA - and East Coast, USA.

Have you thought about using a solo pool that is already out there? For example CK's pool - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.0

It is set up has the hardware running for a BTC solo pool.  If you are thinking you will make pool and profit chances are slim.  If your thinking for learning... then I could see that.  But it's not going to bring you profit.

its just for learning , slim things u can get as well fat too , it depends on what and how you are feeding your chances :)
