Title: What does Mt Gox stand for? Post by: Underyx on June 07, 2011, 09:54:09 PM I've always wondered what the name means, and I hate how I keep calling it "Mount Gox", since mount is what I default to upon seeing "mt", but, well, that really sounds stupid. Perhaps it stands for Market?

Post by: mushmouth39 on June 08, 2011, 04:09:25 AM I was thinking it was a play on words of Fort Knox. Instead of a fort its a mountain and gox rhymes with Knox. But the more I think about it that's probably not it. Since Mt might not even stand for mount. as in a mountain.
