Post by: Biitcoin on January 10, 2016, 02:22:48 PM
Who have an idea ? I read a while ago that it should be in November 2015 but nothing really happened so is there is a new date ?
I can't seem to find anything related to this on their website or blog ! thanks in advance for any help

No, they are not opening right now. Open Bazaar dev team are constantly pushing release date and their software is still not ready for public testing.
Last news I heard about this project is that they want to be ready in Spring 2016, but I doubt it will be final date.

No they are still not runing. In their site they say they will open very soon. The project launch was postponed last November and they gave no indication to when would be the new launch date.

I've also read about how soon they are going to go live last year but seem not still. I wanna be a pioneer on their site and be reputable to make good business with the users. Hope they have success and compete ebay and amazon.

Well. I'm waiting for this, I'm not sure if it will open in spring 2016, because I see on the site is just "opening soon". I hope they prepare a big market.

There is an ongoing section on Reddit regarding this where the developers are reporting in. This project is so exciting and has TREMENDOUS game changing possibilities in the way people buy and sell goods online.  I am waiting with pure hope and excitement!  Go OpenBazaar development team Go!

If implemented open bazaar is one of the great innovations for bitcoin. A lot of people listening to the release date of it. You can visit their slack channel. The devs are always active and answering all questions instantly. There may be a big delay this year for OB to launch.

Thanks for posting.  This makes it look like nothing will happen until after the February conference. I am beyond excited about this and the website looks great.

That's nothing really , they post changelogs each week usually and they posted one today as well : https://blog.openbazaar.org/ https://blog.openbazaar.org/weekly-development-update-february-1-2016/ but it's kinda shitty , I mean they could at least give us an estimated date .

I read it somewhere that it will open in March or April. But it is still in development stage, so lets be patient.

I recommend subscribing to their Youtube channel, they post pretty regularly with development updates etc.

It would be awesome once there are some Windows binaries available :)

There is a conference for it this month so I assume it may be a couple months.  Thanks for posting the youtube channel.

I'm waiting this for months... It will be very cool. Coindesk has some articles about it.

Hope they don't "change" plans... I hope I can "bet" in this market. At least it has very serious people inside their project.

That's just how it tends to go with Open Source projects, although I had expected that there would be a bit more progress, like you mentioned.
Especially since they got a pretty sizeable investment last year, I think.

that's exactly what lot of people are waiting for, let's hope that this long waiting are just to made things better, i dont want to see this project abandoned like some products that promise a lot and after some time waiting, they stop.

There are a lot of high expectations with this, like prior to the release of Streamium. They rushed to get it out there and it ended up with problems

where people started to loose interest in the whole project. I would much rather wait a little longer and receive a polished final product than rushing

it and being disappointed. A road map would have been nice.  ::)
