Title: Litecoin client error
Post by: Brunt, FCA on December 22, 2012, 04:01:22 PM
This is my first post, so please be gentle with me.

I have installed the Litecoin-0.6.3c client on Windows XP, and downloaded the blockchain up to date.
I created a file called litecoin.conf, and put it in the blockchain data folder. It contains the following lines:

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=longpassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=9332
server=1

When I try to start the client I get an error box that says:

An error occured while setting up the RPC port 9332 for listening:
open: An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used

What have I done wrong, and how do I fix it?

I don't want to be rude, but I think you'll have a bigger chance of getting it resolved on the official litecoin forum! :) http://forum.litecoin.net

I have now opened a thread there, and in case anyone here is able to help, you can watch my feeble attempts here:
