What do you currently use Bitcoin for the most?

I intentionally left out an 'other' or 'both' option. I want people to chose from the given options.
I only want to know what your currently using bitcoin for not what you intended to use it as or one day hope to use it as. Only what your currently using it for the most!

i want multiple choices, because i'm using it as the two first option

small portion ads a currency to buy small things, and long term investment/storage for the big portion

I use bitcoin primarily as a currency.  I feel there are too many deals to be had on digital goods to keep any for an extended amount of time.

Long term wealth storage for now, but honestly there are few "coffee shop" type places that accept Bitcoin where I live. Adoption progress is slow, but it is moving.  Our local Bitcoin "Fan" Network is very active here.

Main use for me is storage (HODL!).

I trust that more merchants will start accepting BTC, then I can use it more often as a currency.  I have only bought gold with my BTC.

Using it like a savings account. Lawnmower puts my spare change to BTC, and I check up on my returns every once in a while.

I voted for long term wealth storage, although I have paid for things online with Bitcoin. There i no option for traders, and I think a big proportion of bitcointalk members use Bitcoin for trading more than long term wealth storage. It attracts traders similar to the way stocks and shares attracts them.

For me it's mostly an investment at the moment, though I have used it for a few dozen transactions (Purse.io) and look forward to developments on that front. I'm surprised at the lack of remittance usage, given the obvious case for it compared to existing competition. I can't imagine the problems encountered thus far are intractable, so eventually I expect bitcoin remittances to surge, which will be good for the bitcoin ecosystem.

Voted for the second, but actually wanted to have both the first and the second option.

The majority is for long term wealth storage, but when suitable and convenient I use it as a currency as well.

This poll is somewhat rigged to produce a preconceived notion. You should include the option to say that we use Bitcoin for all of these things. Since that is the case for me, until you add that option I can not participate in this poll in good conscience.

For me it's about future profits and usage.
Getting to use a high valued bitcoin price is the ultimate goal.

At the moment I am using Bitcoin as currency and as an investment. That's how I use Bitcoin the most of the times.

I'm not trying to trick anyone, I have no agenda I only want to capture a snapshot of what the average user is using bitcoin for at this time.

Long term wealth storage I guess.  I definitely don't use it as a currency much but I suppose if I eventually take up gambling I'll use it for that.  I think that's one of its main uses.  To me, it's digital gold.

I use around .5btc every month. Everything that i earn from here i exchange to fiat to pay for my bills (electricity & phone) and mortgage of my motorcycle. What ever is left from my earnings i keep it as is.

Mainly for long term investment (HODLING).

I do gamble with the small amounts I make from signature campaigns though.

I currently use bitcoin for pay my electric bill and internet bill, but it's also pay my college. and i have gambling habbit, so i can use bitcoin for gambling.

as many already said , i guess the best use of bitcoins right now is to store them and wait for the price to go up , and that's what im doing

I do not have much bitcoin and I am targeting maybe 2.1BTC.

As there is not many things I can buy with bitcoin at my home town, I will just hodl for the time being.

Right now, the main reason I am using bitcoin is as a currency. It's an easy way to buy stuff online.

for now i still use bitcoin for investment because i see a bright future about bitcoin

I use it as a currency, a remittance and at the same time a long term wealth storage. Hal of my coins is saved for my future while half of it is spent on my daily expenses.

Long term saving and a little bit spending, depens what i need to buy online.

currently all my bitcoins were used to buy paytm wallet balance, so that i can get my bitcoins as fiat indirectly without having verified any proof.

That's great. I was use to purchase many things through online before But now I stopped that because due to halving and for my long-term goal I am just saving the bitcoins. All can save and earn better value in future  :)

Long term wealth storage through investing

Speculation, just trying to buy low and sell high.

For now I'm using bitcoin to hold with whatever I earn.
So I guess you could also say storage of wealth.

Mostly i use it for wealth storage and i see this is the most popular with other people. Bitcoin is excellent for wealth storage imo what other choices do you have... gold when its limits are not known, or housing when its partly backed by gov and your countries army.  I will stick with bitcoin as best option :).

That is the right thing to do, I generally use it for wealth storage, whatever I earn I keep a part of it as a saving and rest I use it for remmitances for my family and other which I feel that I can spend I spend it on gambling I am not sure whether I will win or not but I do spend a part of it on gambling as bitcoin allows me to gamble even with a small amount.

My Main use of bitcoin this time is for gambling and playing dice, 3 hours faucets then gamble the next day to see if the luck is on my side.

I mostly use it for gambling and to buy digital goods, if I see something worth buying i.e., its much easier to send back and forth online, so I'd say I use it as currency more and therefore opted for that in the poll.

It will be good to have the word "mostly" or "mainly" to see the focus

I use bitcoin to do any kind of things except as a payment medium, the reason is simple: Why spending precious bitcoin when you can spend fiat money? I have tried a couple of times spending bitcoin to purchase some electronic components, but the amount of work to refill the wallet with same amount of bitcoin is just too much hassle, it does not worth the effort. It is enough that there are exchanges providing conversion 24/7 to your local currency. I treat it more like a foreign currency

SOME of it as a currency as I have a bit-X debit card. Some is saved as a long term wealth. I do what I can not to spend

all of what I get, but divide it in 2 and allow myself some and save the other half. I would save half and add a new payment

to the half that is there in the wallet already, then split the new balance in two and spend HALF in the btc debit card the latter

half. This way, the coin seems to accumulate.

Well this poll is turning out just like I thought it would.  I understand that the results are somewhat shocking for some people.
The majority of us are using Bitcoin as a savings account primarily.

I think i mainly use it as a store of wealth, but i do experiment with bitcoin as a speculative investment which will hopefully increase massively.

Most of voters voted for Long term wealth storage and so i did, i try to hold but at the same time i trade for a better future.

i currently use Bitcoin for Long term wealth storage..i don't like to spend my btc, unless the value will go to the moon

I`m usin coins for gambling and just for gambling, for me that is perfect thing. I dont spend money I earn from job, I just can spend what I earn here and on some other places. Its great for me, I cant say I`m lucky for now, but I`m playin having fun. For me its great when im free to make a cigar and coffe, sit in my chair with some nice music and play poker, dices, roulette. I think I will never storage bitcoins, I like to earn it and spend it, my goal is to find some income that will be monthly so I can count on that. I plan to buy cs go but I cant find where to buy it with btc.

Bitcoin related purchases here that are small since I don't want to spend to much and gambling. I see it as a store of wealth more than a currency ATM but that could quickly change over the next few years.

I am using bitcoin as a currency... I need it...I buy some things from it...but I could say that I am also using it as an investment because I put it in an echange site rather than my bitcoincore wallet...  :)

Voted for a currency! Because I did not hold so many bitcoin.
Also I usually spend bitcoin for buying stuff online like a giftcard, pay internet bill etc.
So I think I have used bitcoin as a digital currency.

I'm using it for the 1st and 3rd option at the moment (mostly for remittance purposes). It's a lot easier to convert it from something that it isn't used over the net (or vice versa) and also as a currency because I give it to someone when I do purchases (mostly online).

Yeah, generally I use it for remittance purposes as it is very convenient, fast and cheap as compared to banks or WU so for me its a currency as I can transfer it to my bank account and can withdraw any mode of time, and I also used it for gambling sometimes as it allows me to gamble even with a very small amount.

i'am storing bitcoin for now but when time comes i will be foing some online shopping and a bit of gambling to keep me occupied

I am using as a currency but also as a mid-long term investment, whenever i get a change i will sell the bitcoin for a good profit, currently just holding.

Of course as a currency, I use it for buying anything I need and anything I want.

I think  that you should add gambling/betting. That's one of the use Bitcoin have for me and probably for a lot of people :).

mostly i use bitcoin for trading, investment, gambling (not recomended) i also play with a low budget just only for fun, buy a thing and sell
and do a small transaction with the other btc user....

But the price far low from yesterday. I use bitcoin normally for buying accessories in online stores and I use to save some as well. But according to current situation. I think better I could buy some bitcoins and keep with me for long term to make profit after block halving.

Yeah, the value of bitcoin is good at a moment not the best, so if you can afford to buy some bitcoins at a moment than it can be useful in future as I believe this is still good price to buy some bitcoins and keep it safe for the future as it would be surely much higher in the coming months for sure.

I generally use it as a saving and investment too, but I am actively spending my bitcoins in gambling as I love to gamble and wish that I could multiply my bitcoins in a quick time, gambling is risky though, but Still would love to afford to take risk and win someday, and the best part is I can gamble even with a small amount of bitcoin.

I use bitcoins mainly for gambling and sometimes for secret buying of products from online world and shops :) .
I love the ease that bitcoin provides along with it.

Of course as currency but for my normal purpose... like exchange with advcash in euro, place a bet in Direct Bet or Betcoin.TM, play with gambling... same use of the money, only I can't pay directly my expense like food, metro etc...

I use Bitcoin for a long term wealth storage.

Since the bitcoin is still in it's infant stage, I want to hoard my hard earned coins until it reaches to it's full phase with a stable valuation and having a greater outcome.

Although people might be afraid of it's high volatility and try to sell them when the price goes up, but some people like me still cling to holding them as this might be the another reason for it's slow price rise. ;)
