Title: I have questions about antminer
Post by: grambel on January 11, 2016, 10:59:00 PM
Hello!

I want to buy an antminer s7 But I have questions I want to know

their answers before I do this step. Please help me!

What is the estimated duration of the expiration

of the validity of the antminer?

Who fix the antminer If crashes?

I'm afraid because I live in Algeria and there is a break in

the electricity and the Internet and the price of the antminer

Equal to a year of work in Algeria.  :'(

Tell me something encourage me to start mining

Is it profitable and better than cloud mining?

Thank you.

I can't guess what your expenses are, so you'd have to tell it to me. What is your electricity rate cost per kWh in USD?.

Also if that would be so much money for you, then you should insure it. The warranty is only 90 days and the Antminer S7 can be prone to breaking. Maybe go with something smaller if your electricity is very cheap.

Also you might want to lay off the custom font, its obnoxious and harder to read.

Sound risky for something that is equal to one year worth of your salary at that electric cost, its okay, not great but not horrible either. Play around with this;
https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

Try with best case scenario 4% diff jump, then 8%, then 15%. See what your returns are with 4730GH/s, 1440watts and 0,07/kWh electricity costs.

At 0.07 Cents/KWH, it is VERY VERY iffy if you will ever earn enough back on an S7 to pay for it.

I do my own figuring at my appx. 7.5 c/KWH incrimental electric price, and have NEVER had a calculation indicate that an S7 would pay for itself - close but not quite at best and recently not even all that close with the high difficulty increases.

I don't anticipate difficulty increase level dropping anytime soon - might see a short-term DIP right after the halfing, but very doubtfull that it will drop much if any under 10% increase per diff adjustment before than.

Don't listen to people here, they lie all the time. If you want to make free money, you must buy a S7 and start mining as soon as you can. Do Not Wait. Sell your car, sell your house, sell your kids, sell your wife, buy miners. Very soon, you will make $$$$$$$$$$$, more than you dream about. Very soon, you will buy new cars, new houses, new wives. DO IT NOW!!!

Not sure if serious. Maybe you should go troll somewhere else.

If someone has to pay for the hardware, in this case a S7, then it is not free money. If you do not have access to free electricity, it is also not free to run. And you also need a power supply to fuel it, which is also not free.

TLDR: Your post is nonsense and should be disregarded.

Bitcoin is risky, don't gamble what you cannot loose.

Thank you all my friends

I wouldn't invest 1 year of my salary in bitcoin mining right now (and even worst cloudmining, which is for sure less profitable than S7 mining).

You should be carefull. No one really knows what will happens with the bitcoin halving : BTC price could increase, but so will also the difficulty. and your miners could become obsolete really fast.

If you can't afford to lose the money you are going to invest, you perhaps have a better option just buying and keeping a few BTC. Their value "could" crash (we never know...) but the odds are low and it would be less risky.
