Title: Threat and Feedback
Post by: krunox123 on January 13, 2016, 01:39:18 PM
So, I've just received a threat message from this user, Pov (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=702528).
If you take a look at my untrusted feedback, he sent me two untrusted feedback when I never deal with him.

Left you a negative feedback. Will remove for 0.01 BTC.
IF NOT. I WILL BE FORCED TO USE 10 OTHER ACCOUNTS AND GIVE MORE TO DESTROY YOUR REPUTATION.
ONCE PAID, I WILL REMOVE AND YOU AND ONE CHOSEN PERSON WILL BE IMMUNE. Should you choose to decline I will open a legitimate looking scam report.

So, my question is, is there a way to remove the fake feedback from my profile?

Ironically, this question is been answered thousand times in the forum.
Critically, for your citation, trust isn't moderated unless and until they spam the trust system.
P.S. "Threats/feedbacks" from such people are worthless/useless. Ignore 'em and you'll be fine.

I know, but I'd like to have my account to not have any negative feedback from anyone. :)

@OP ignore the obvious troll, admins will do the same until he actually spams feedbacks

Yeah, I just hope that his feedback will not hurt my eyes every time I am on my trust page. Haha :-D

I noticed aswell that the trust system can be abused but most people if they are going to be doing some deal with you will check the user that left the feedback and hes been flagged pretty good. I dont think anyones going to be put off by a bit of red from untrusted because most people have some anyway. I know the systems not perfect but whats the alternative?

On the otherhand if that was trusted feedback then id be far more wary since there shouldnt (in theory anyway) be any trusted scammers.

Just ignore it.. if he does leave 10 more negatives on your account with his alts, all that does is out his alts. Doesn't seem like he thought that plan out very well.

The forum does actually remove red trust coming from members that give feedback like this. They don't directly remove the trust, but wipes out the account (delete posts, delete trust, etc). Not sure about that though. A nonsense red trust leaving newbie somehow got wiped out and the trust was removed.

Trust is removed, account isn't wiped out for trust spamming.

Good luck with that!  Just by saying that, you are inviting malicious trolls to give you exactly the opposite--and they'll do it because they can.  Without ever having risked a single satoshi.  All of my negative trust came from exactly two trolls who I never did deals with and have nothing to do with anything real.  What they wrote were lies.  Shrug it off and move on.

Hmm... it seems more fake negative feedbacks were added to my profile. marbleregional (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=552863)(2), Michael Scofield (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=665030)(1)

if he spams they will remove, just let him spam so we can see his alts, also post the address he said you should pay to
He did not specify which Bitcoin address I should send the payment to.

You dont have to worry about it. All those are untrusted feedbacks thus carrying no weight

No, no it does not. See two cases in my trust ratings, BFL paying people to leave 300 negative (most of which were by BFL staff xD), and another from one guy on here with 18 accounts. Neither sets are deleted.

Don't worry about it. He will be in the untrusted section and no one looks there.
